Is al nusra fighting the Iran backed militants?

It's a little confusing to me.

Also: aren't there 3 main factions in Yemen? Possible to support 2 of the 3 and piss someone off?

Nusra has been along with a bunch of other groups.  Qatar definitely supports or has supported a good number of those groups, along with Turkey and the Saudis, though it gets really complicated when looking at who funds what and the different practices of sending weapons, especially since it's changed so many times since it started.

In Yemen you have the 1. Houthis (Somewhat Iranian-backed) who are allies with the former dictator (and his family and their forces) who used to oppress them (there has been some more tension of late between them as well) and 2. the local Sunni forces backed by the Saudi coalition and the government that was in place as part of an international deal to get Saleh out of power.  And 3. of course on the fringes of everything you have AQ.

Oh and some of the various regions and some local militias fighting alongside the Saudi coalition have interest in seperatism and there have been wars fought over that in the past.
