BeachSkin
The game drew a very impressive 6.8 rating (up 21% from last year's FSU-Miami game in the same slot): http://barkingcarnival.fantake.com/2010/09/07/boise-state-va-tech-a-ratings-winner-for-espn/ Kudos to Boise & VT
DarrellsMyHero28
At the end of the day VTECH lost the game. Doesn't matter if it was by 50 or 3. A L is a L. Are you guys boasting and bragging that you didn't get crushed at home to a team that traveled 2,300+ miles... And at the end of the day, you're still relatively clueless. No one is boasting right now, I have no idea where you're getting that from. It was a "punch in the gut" type of game. We had it, and gave it away. SkinsHokieFan
No, VT never had it. Boise almost gave it away with all the "penalties". Thats just stupid. If anything I can say VT gave Boise 17 points by dumb mental errors in the first quarter (fumbled snap, blocked punt where nobody bothered looking at the outside man, and one of the worst mental breakdowns by a player in both running into the kicker AND THEN commiting a personal foul) Penalties didn't lead to VT going on a 30-9 run from the end of the first quarter until the last minute of the game. You have a game when you are up by 4 with under 3 minutes left and have a 2nd and 6 and the other team is out of timeouts. 6 yards, one more first down and its ball game for VT. Again, Boise made the plays in the end that VT couldn't. Congrats to them. But trying to portray it as any sort of blow out is laughable

No, VT basically gave it away by passing on 3rd down with 2 minutes left instead of running the ball and eating the clock.
