Perky72
That is one of the dirtiest things I've ever seen on a football field.Good riddance Yeah, holy crap that was horrible. Almost on the level of Marty McSorley slashing Brashear. Has Butler ever addressed or apologized for that incident? And did he have a reputation for dirty play beyond that incident? This is the first I've heard of this too but found this. He was suspended by UVa for one game, and supposedly is not a dirty player. http://www.roanoke.com/sports/uvafootball/wb/35785 Both Littlepage and Groh went out of their way to note that Butler has had no history of dirty play and that it was not his intent to injure Kiwanuka, the preseason ACC player of the year. "I've never been one to play outside the rules," Butler said in the statement. "I was not trying to hurt Mathias Kiwanuka." I can't possibly see what else would be the motivation for pausing, then launching into an injured knee with the player's back turned and the play nowhere near the incident. Pathetic.
