tizzy2k5
Interns for Change.org, new media network -flexible schedule/location Want to help launch a new project that will help hundreds of thousands of people advance social change? Want to work with a small team of passionate social entrepreneurs in a rapidly growing internet startup supported by 500,000 activists and 4500 nonprofit partners? Change.org is an online media network that is fast becoming the web’s leading source of information about major social causes and means of connecting people to opportunities for action. We are hiring a team of online research and outreach interns to help build momentum for an initiative called Jobs for Change, a new career service and marketplace for social change jobs that was recently launched in partnership with dozens of leading nonprofits. The goal is to recruit more people into careers in service and build the largest database available of jobs in the nonprofit, government, and social enterprise sectors. See it here: http://jobs.change.org Interns will work directly with Change.org’s senior staff, get an inside look at the new initiative, and conduct online research and outreach to thousands of potential partners across the country. The tasks will be repetitive and detail-oriented at times, but the overall project is very exciting. Applicants need only to have experience with basic online research; you’ll learn everything else you need to know on the job. Internships will be remote (virtual) and will begin immediately. The position requires at least 15 hours per week and is unpaid. Strong preference given to those who can work during normal business hours. To apply, send your resume and a brief introduction about you to Danny at interns@change.org. No need for a formal cover letter. We look forward to hearing from you! :helmet::logo::helmet: LET'S GO SKINS!!!
G.A.C.O.L.B.
Are convicted felons eligible for the internships? Because I know someone who might be interested. He's in school at a community college. Honor society, deans list, all of that. But he is a felon (non-violent crime.) Please be honest. I don't want to waste his time.
