STerasedU2
Example: Skins draft a player in the draft and he gets cut and doesn't make the practice squad either. If that player signed a four year deal worth 1.7M after the draft does he keep anything but his signing bonus?
MartinC
Players who are cut will only be entitled to any payments in their contracts which were guaranteed. Typically that is any signing bonus and sometimes a guaranteed roster bounus. Apart from that any future salaries in their contracts are voided when we released them. If the player is claimed off waivers then the team that claims them picks up their contracts. If they pass through waivers or are a vested vet who is not subject to waivers they are free to negotiate whatever deal they can get from any team interested in signing them.
