Jagsbch
ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli reports Carolina Panthers WR Kevin Dyson (Achilles’) suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon during minicamp workouts on Wednesday, June 4. He will undergo surgery on Thursday, June 5, and will miss the 2003 season.
DeathByLinebacker
Dyson hurt? How unexpected! I'm glad we dodged that bullet. Not that Patrick Johnson was any better bet to make it through the season, but at least his contract is much smaller than Dyson's.
Skin Deep
I'm glad we dodged that bullet. My thoughts exactly. I was always hoping that we didn't pick him up. I just think he is very over-rated. It's a shame about the injury, but thank someone that it's not our bad news.

Jagsbch
Speaking of Carolina, I'm thinking Jack has plenty of time to prepare for this game... care to give a prediction? 35- 27 Jags
Drex
Dyson has always had the potential but injuries continue to set him back unfortunately.

You think there will be 62 points in that game? You must be expecting the defenses to score a few times. I think both defensive lines overwhelm the opposing offensive lines and Brunell and Delhome run for their life all day. You'd think Jax would have more offense with the trio of Brunell, Smith and Taylor, but that will be their first game in Bill Musgrave's offense and there will probably be some stuggles. It is interesting that Jack Del Rio's first game as Jags HC will be against the team he worked for last year.
DaRock
That sorta blows. I was looking on Carolina to have a decent year. Hope they still can. They deserve it.
NavyDave
Yeah Carolina did help us with those two first rounders. Man Achilles injuries suck. I tore both during my basketball delusions of grandeur.
