Thinking Skins
Ok, so here is my idea that I was talking about in the other thread. I suggested a wikipedia type play by play. I wanted to see how hard this would be. I don't have the time to try to do something like wikipedia, or to try to set up another database that thingamagie. So instead, I just went back to my favorite game of the season (Washington At Dallas) and said I would try to incoroprate two things: the nfl.com play by play and Blondie's Official Game Thread, http://www.extremeskins.com/showthread.php?t=261466. My idea is that in times like right now, we'd like to have more than just the Play by Play, to know exactly what caused the big plays in a game. So while the play by blay doesn't say who opened up a big hole for Portis or who missed an assignment that caused Campbell to get sacked, users in this thread do. I did the first quarter just to get an idea of how tiring it is and how useful it'd be. The play by play is avaliable at http://sites.google.com/site/thoughtshere/wk4-2008 (I'm not a fan of googlesites, but they just don't make free web pages like they used to). It didn't take too long, and I think it'll be useful to be able to refer to a single site instead of having to review a 3 hr game recording or having to go through a 2500 response thread, just to see how Randy Thomas played in a game. I'm curious to know what you all think.
