Bubble Screen
Sorry if there's already a thread on this, but I need to get something off my chest. Why the **** do they even have replay when the refs go under the hood to look at a play and STILL screw it up? The play in question was the Romo sits to pee fumble in the game today with Pittsburgh. While it was hard to tell during the live play whether or not it was a fumble, it was clearly NOT a fumble when looking at the replays. He was DOWN. How can they look at the same replays the fans at home are seeing and screw that up? That bugs the hell out of me, even if it was the Cowgirls on the short end of the stick. GET IT THE CALL RIGHT!!! Djackson10
i disagree. the ball was clearly starting to move out of his hand before he was down. also it has to be irrefutable (sp) evidence to overturn. there clearly wasn't that in the least. Jimbo
What I want to hear the referee say is "there is not enough evidence to overturn the call" or "the replay was inconclusive so the call on the field stands". Instead, he comes out from under the hood and makes it sound like he's sure of what happened when we all know damn well he's not. For all of the faults of the NFL replay system, I think it's a LOT worse in the NCAA.

Roger.Staubach
I agree with the point of this thread in that the refs, far too often, make mistakes while looking at the replays. As far as the Romo sits to pee fumble.... he fumbled. In my eyes, the ball was CLEARLY moving around prior to his knee/elbow touching the ground.. pjfootballer
I'm just tired of the NFL in general this year. Seems like no one has their head screwed on right with this league.
Spec138
I agree with Jimbo. While I don't know if the ball was moving or not, I'd like the ref to say he wasn't able to determine the correct ruling so the call stand, instead of acting like it was the easiest call ever. RODAN1054
I d0n't feel that a fumble should occur before the whistle. Ialso feel that even if a player is down, it still should be a fumbe. Players need to hold on to the ball. Football today is becoming more and more sissyfied.
