stratoman
Canada has decided to contribute to the war effort -- they are sending 2 Battle Ships, 6000 Soldiers & 10 Jet Fighters. Unfortunately, because of the exchange rate, that comes out to be two canoes, a mounty, and a couple of flying squirrels."

dchogs
good one... but even that would be generous given the exchange rate:laugh:
Romo
I would be offended but I would be lying if I said Canada had much of an armed forces. However since the war started the exchange rate is getting much better. The Canadian dollar is at a 2 year high. Maybe I can afford a trip to the states now. Canyonero!
What is the deal with the Canadien military? Are they technologically advanced? What is the scoop? Compared to what? Compared to Iraq's, yes, they are advanced. Compared to the US, they are somewhat behind, but that's to be expected. They've usually spent in the neighborhood of $9-14 Billion/year, while we spend near (and usually over) $300 Billion. That allows them to waste money on wasteful socialist items and such. All figures in USD.
