Brave
Not my fave of the plans, but whatever they do I just hope it's BIG (and strong). Libeskind Plan Chosen for WTC Site Wed Feb 26,10:24 PM ET By SARA KUGLER, Associated Press Writer NEW YORK - A cluster of sloping, angular buildings with a 1,776-foot spire that would be the tallest in the world was chosen Wednesday as the blueprint to redevelop the World Trade Center site, The Associated Press has learned. Architect Daniel Libeskind's design beat a plan by an international design team known as THINK, which envisioned two 1,665-foot latticework towers straddling the footprints of the original towers, said a source familiar with the selection. An official announcement is expected Thursday. The choice of the soaring design, which pays homage to the year America declared its independence, was made by a committee of representatives from the Lower Manhattan Development Corp., the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the offices of the governor and mayor. http://story.news.yahoo.com/fc?cid=34&tmpl=fc&in=US&cat=World_Trade_Center
Kilmer17
Sadly, I think they will have a hard time filling up the top stories.

I'll bet the passage to time ... and some incentives like tax breaks and such could go a long way toward enticing occupancy.
NavyDave
It looks like crap to me. Something that should be placed in Canada or some other country where off the wall architecture can be gawked at and asked WTH is that?
