gkekoa Posted December 5, 2007 Share Posted December 5, 2007 We have a lot of things to do. First we have to let Joe and Vinny go. Hire a young coach with a good pedigree...Josh McDaniels. GM, go pay a bundle for either Polian or Pioli. As for the team we have to start managing the cap. Trade Springs for whatever we can get in the draft...hopefully a fourth. Saves 2.5 mil Trade Griff for whatever we can get...hopefully a fifth or sixth. Saves 1.5 mil. Trade Washington...hopefully a third. I know Cinci needs them. Saves 2.5 mil. Cut Brunell. Saves 3.4 million. Cut Daniels. Saves 3 million. Look to lock up Golston and Montgomery for cheap. Extend Rock, Albright, Caldwell, McCardell, and Torrence. Extend Rocky for another 5 years. Resign Prielou for 2 more years. Extend Evan for 3 more years. Resign Godfrey for about one million. Extend Todd Collins for another year at 1 million. Extend Campbell for 5 more years with a small pay raise. It shows we have faith in him and will be much cheaper next year than in two years. Extend Kendall for 2 more years at about 2 million/year. Keep Lloyd and absorb the hit in 2009. Keep Sean Taylor on the roster for next year and absorb the cap hit in 2009. If some of these guys want to resign at a lower price then we can keep them but they need to be paid what they deserve. I know this leaves holes but look at next year as a year to rebuild. Try to stock pile some picks and even look to trade away some of this years picks.
