The Israeli Lobby Controversy

Recently two highly respected professors where commissioned to write an article about the Israeli Lobby and it's effects on the United States. Commissioned in early 2001 before September 11. Eventually published in Britain in March 2006.

These Professors were John J. Mearsheimer University of Chicago Political Science Professor ( the R. Wendell Harrison Distinguished Service Professor ) and Stephen Walt the Academic Dean of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

I thought it was an interesting read.

To see out laid out like that is a little scary. I would have perfered some refs to back up their quotes, but really what are you going to do. To change this would require major campaign finance reform, and politicians aren't going to support that either (and it might run a fowl of the constitution).

Hmmm...well there are a fair amount of facts in the article that certainly aren't true...starting with stating that the Israeli Self Defense force was better armed and equiped during the War of 1947-49...that is simply not true at all....and that falsehood has been used in the past in numerous anti-semitic writings....
