bulldog
the entire pro bowl fiasco over the past several years has really turned me off.

we know who the best players are because we see them play during the season.

you can make a rough list of players at each position, but due to the differences in scheme and the talent level of complementary players on each squad, saying one guy is definitely better than another is hard to do.

Bailey and Smoot to me were excellent players in 2001.

Did they give up some plays? Yes. But so did Charles Woodson and Ty Law. So did Troy Vincent.

But what those players had that Bailey did not was a pass rush.

The Redskins were one of the worst teams in the NFL with just 20 sacks on the season.

To put that in perspective, 8 Redskins linemen and 4 linebackers came up with fewer sacks than Mike Strahan did all by himself.

That is a disgrace.

And it is a selling point for Bailey, who was playing in a scheme not suited to his talents and was taking on the other team's best receiver week in and week out.
Romo
ya i agree the pro bowl is crap. look at Mike Alstott who continually makes the pro bowl as a full back. just because a you have a running back who is over 240lbs does not make them a FB. Reaganaut
Along with Mike Alstott should go Steven Alexander I'm afraid to say. Alexander's big play making ability is suspect in my mind as well as his toughness.
Ryman of the North
exactly hierge just because a te is skinny and weak but fast doesnt make him a receiver!
NavyDave
I agree on that as far as Alexander is concerned.

I'm in agreement with the guy from USA today about resigning Westy to play pass catching TE in Spurrier's system

We need to extend Champ before it gets to the point that he can test the waters. bulldog
now that the Schottenheimers and their zone packages are gone I am sure Champ will be more interested in signing an extension
