ashburnskinsfan
A short video by an English journalist working with the Guardian newspaper. If this is representative, you have to wonder whether the Iraqi army and police will ever "stand up". http://www.guardian.co.uk/video/page/0,,1927660,00.html
chomerics
This seems pretty representative about what the problem with fighting any insurgency is, you don't know who the enemy is, and you really have no way of discerning the enemy from the people you are trying to protect. Isn;t that what the problem was in Vietnam? Do people now understand why Bush I thought it was a bad idea to go into Baghdad?
Raub
If Bush I had finished the job, it would have likely turned out much better than what we're facing now. The Basra uprising in 1991 was the perfect time to remove Saddam from power, but we stood by and let what was left of his forces crush the rebels. I guess it's a moot point though. Hindsight's a *****.
