TradeTheBeal!
Unfortunately, it appears as though Kris Benson has lost some movement on his fastball. http://articles.news.aol.com/sports/article.adp?id=20060330191809990005&ncid=NWS00010000000001 I would expect his pitch count to be way down this year! gchwood
The Orioles pitching will pretty much suck like every other year, The Yankees will tee off on them again

rincewind
Maybe they can get Mussina back - that would make Portisizzle very happy.
oriolesfan93p
hey, there's an orioles section on this forum for this discussion, and there is a detailed topic on this subject led by people who follow the team and see how the pitchers are doing and can answer your questions properly, not like mr yankees fan or mr nats fan who are just as biased against the orioles as I am for them that being said, Benson has lost his last 2 ST starts, but in both cases he was the victim of poor fielding. His pitching has been good, as has all of the orioles starters so far under the tutilage of Leo Mazzone. Daniel Cabrera and Erik Bedard are both primed for break out years and both have been touted throught the league as potential #1 starters when they get all their stuff together Rodrigo Lopez needs a little more consistancy but he has done really well in his 4 years as an oriole. Bruce Chen had a really good year last year with the lowest era on the starting staff and hopefully he will only get better but for a #5 starter he is really good. Then we have prospects Adam Lowen and Hayden Penn, both of whom could see action on the rotation this year if one of the starting 5 gets hurt. They are likely to be in someone's starting rotation next year if the orioles find they don't have room, both of them seem primed to make a big splash in the big leagues. The bullpen is the big question mark for the orioles, and it is because it consists of mostly minor leaguers who may be able to put it together this year but only because of the pitching coach they have. Lets not forget how much a catcher plays a role in how good a pitching staff is and Ramon Hernandez is one of the best catchers in baseball
TD_washingtonredskins
If anyone checked the link, they'd see the article has nothing to do with baseball.
