Was Trent Green ever healthy?

Heck, is ANY QB ever healthy at the end of the year?

Roethlisburger (sp?) just got his knee hurt similar to Brunells, at about the same time, 5, 6 weeks ago or so and he's playing his best ball of the year. Add in the giant knot the Colts put on his throwing arm.

Bumps, bruises, tweaked knees, twisted ankles, ribs, shoulder, football is brutal and a younger man stands a better chance of bouncing back quicker and/or getting hurt a little less severely simply because his body is younger and stronger than an older guy.

Mark Brunell was nothing more than a backup two years ago at Jax by virtue of the simple fact that they did not bring him back when he'd recovered from his injury that year. Why they did not is hindsight now.

Mark did not have what it took to get through last year and he did not have it this year.

He is not and has not been a starting QB for three years. That doesn't mean he won't or can't be the guy who wins it all coming off the bench at the end of next year, a la Doug Williams.
