Thinking Skins Posted January 17, 2006 Share Posted January 17, 2006 I've seen a lot of discussion about the number of repeat threads and how they flood the board and move the other threads to page 2 or 3. So I was thinking about that problem today while I was at google groups. They have two options of displaying their threads: - Sort by date of first message - Sorted by date of most recent message Here at extremeskins, we use the later version, but is there an option for people to sort by the date of the first message, thus losing the dynamic nature of extremeskins? This way, the repeat threads are at the bottom of the page and hence they wouldn't change the other threads. I'm not advocating this or even suggesting it, but I'm wondering what people think of having two ways for users to view the messages, and how hard that would be to impliment if the moderators did choose to go towards this method?
