PotomacSkinsFan
That's 5 30+ point games this year vs. 1 last year. 9 100 yard rushing games from portis vs 5 last year. It's amazing what kind of strides this offseason made this year. With the additions of Moss, Rabach, and Moss are offense really kicked into gear on the shoulders of Portis in his second year in the system. Brunell was great, Cooley was great. Look for us to be even better next year. But I consider these things proof as to why joe Gibbs is one of the greatest few coaches to ever coach. DCNightHawk
We really stepped it up this year in all or our aspects of our game. Our Defense was solid as always with great performances by Griffin, Daniels, Washington, Clark, Taylor, Springs, Salave'a just to name a few. Our offense really improved this year as opposed to that abismal thing we called an offense last year.Brunell found his rythm with Portis and Betts on the ground and Cooley and Moss in the air, our offense put up some big numbers in a lot of games this season. It was a wild season with some great highs and some depressing lows. Im so glad it ended the way it did with a 5 in a row run, a 5-1 division record, a sweep of the Cowboys and most importantly, a playoff birth. Great season guys! now on the playoffs! Hail to the Redskins!!!!
Califan007 The Constipated
How many pass plays of over 20 yards this year as compared to last year??...27 last year, 40 this year. Pass plays of over 40 yards? 5 last year, 11 this year (10 of them by Moss...lol)
RedskinzOwnU
It's important to keep in mind how many points we've gotten thanks to turnovers in the past 3 weeks. Our offense, by itself, is not a 30 point offense. When you count turnovers, it has the potential to be high scoring. Let's hope our run of turnovers doesn't disappear in the playoffs, because we will need them.
bulldog
what we started to get the last 5 weeks as a result of the success in the run game were teams that fell behind and had to gamble to try and catch up and that lead to turnovers turnovers that we turned into points.......... that is something that didn't happen earlier in the season and is one of the reason we lost close games to the Buccaneers and Raiders. Smoooooot
Plus, our offense has been huge in the red zone, especially these last few games. Remember when we couldn't punch it in on the goal line? Well, now we're starting to get that push from the o-line and Portis is getting in. Defenses also have to worry about the playaction to Cooley or Sellers, so they can't just stack the run. mad4comp
So it looks like we are finally on the positive side of the Giveaways/takeaways category. I think were +1...not great, but as mentioned above, the last 5 games, our Turnover differential has be phenomenal.
