Is It Time To Play Campbell?

The Giants threw Eli in there midway through last season and it hasn't seemed to hurt him this year. Or are we saying Eli is a different case because he was the #1 pick and he has good genes?

The bottom line is that Ramsey in all likelihood is gone after this year. So, do we want to start Brunell in 2006 and hope that everything finally falls into line and the Skins make the playoffs, or do we want the rebuilding process to start in '06 with Campbell under center.

More and more I really want to see what our future is. Maybe after loss #8 we should give the ball to the kid.

Put simply, Gibbs is not even considering it.

Brunell's our starter next year so the playing time he gets this season with the offense will be valuable for next season in terms of continuity.

We may not win the Super Bowl with Brunell, but Brunell can at least be the guy who runs the offense until it's a well oiled unit, which is when Campbell can then take it over and likely be more successful right off the bat.

Right now the offense is just so inexperienced and unsure of itself that it would be diastrous to have a rookie operating it right now. We're not the Steelers, a team who has the offense with which they can carry a young QB. Not even close. If anything, having a vet like Brunell running our show right now is exactly what we need.
