dfos81 Posted November 12, 2005 Share Posted November 12, 2005 exactly, scripting plays can only work so long. I think these days you have to have about 3 possible playcalls per play. Its hard to script when you never really know what a teams going to call until that specific play, you have to be able to adjust on the fly and be prepared for anything, so as far as scripting I really doubt he does, but I do know he has plays that are setup for certain things that he sees in the defense and if thats scripting than I guess he does. I know if thats the case than he has alot more than 15 plays scripted b/c I can tell you these days you may see 15 different defensive schemes in 15 plays. I would say he has more like 65-70 plays that are scripted for certain reasons. My point is you have to adjust during the course of the game and Gibbs is great at that and scripting is overrated b/c most of the time things happen that may take you away from the script after a play or 2.
