Cool Hand Loki
Do you guys think Gibbs will allow whatever goes on with the Mara tributes to affect the team's mindset? I seriously doubt it. These guys are professional athletes who have been playing in extremely hostile environments since they were in college (some of the college stadiums might even be more hostile than NFL venues), and they have a coach who refuses to let his team lose focus. The Mara tributes are an angle that we as fans think about, but I doubt it will affect the Redskins players.
skinsterp
Sometimes those raw emotions will wear a team down, distract them and negatively effect their focus. We need to play them with our usual NFCE intensity and get the crowd to sit on their hands. They will start out very tough though. :2cents:
ECU-ALUM
Emotions will be running high for a while be there no doubr, but sooner or later the adrealine & emotions wear off and it comes to down to basic execution. If you can't get pumped-up for a divisional foe coming into your house with 1st place on the line you got serious issues.
jabronijames
Win or lose, Mara was a hell of a good man. I hate to see a guy like that go, but he had a wonderful life. Cheers, Mr. Mara and hail to the Redskins!

Capt'n Obvious
I don't think it will have an effect on the game although condolences to the Giants organization and the Mara family. :helmet:
Teller
I have a lot of respect for what Mr. Mara did for the NFL. According to the piece on NFL network, he basically could have killed revenue sharing by himself, but let it go through for the good of the league. MLB are you listening? IMHO, revenue sharing is a big part of what sets the NFL apart from other sports. Everyone is on equal footing. Everyone has a chance. I wish the best for his family and friends. (And a severe butt-whipping for his beloved Giants Sunday.)
21KO
They'll be all fired up, I bet. Memorial service, moment of silence, draggin out the vets for speeches, etc..... Gonna be a tough game. Got to quiet the crowd early. Easy enough to do. An A-bomb to Moss and an Eli pounding by Mr Arrington. Like i said....
