Awesome
Just read it last night. Overall a good read, and he explains why he refuses to fly. The most interesting part is his discussion of the scheduling problem of MNF. The schedule comes out in April, before the draft is even done. Madden suggested scheduling the first 12 weeks in the Spring and then waiting till the season's half way point to schedule the last four games. Sounds like a GREAT idea to me. That way, the last few MNF games would matter and could feature some good divisional games that will decide a playoff spot. Thoughts?
Zen-like Todd
Errr. no. People plan their calendars around the dates that their teams will play. You cant have people buying tickets for a Sunday game, and then having it magically moved to Monday night at the last minute. It's not fair to the fans who paid for the tix. OrangeSkin
I'm annoyed by how much attention is given to the commentators on MNF. I don't care if it's my parents up in the booth, I still want to watch some football. I guess MNF goes for the casual fans, not the ones who will watch any game, anytime, no matter what. I rarely get the chance to watch MNF past the , unless it's the 'Skins, and then I listen to Sonny, Sam, and Frank. I guess commentary does add something, but I'd still watch the game if there was no commentary.
codeorama
I agree with the above, I could care less who the announcers are. The game will dictate if I watch it or not. I can't stand listening to Sonny on the radio. Sorry, but he is annoying.
