CowboyBlog
See Roy Williams about to unload? Terrence Newman saved that recievers life on that play.
AdamJT13
Newman's season last year wasn't nearly as bad as the public perception makes it out to be (which is based on a few bad games and disregards many excellent games). According to ESPN's statistical expert, Newman was No. 8 among all cornerbacks (out of 80 ranked players) in lowest completion percentage allowed (46.6 percent) and was No. 8 in fewest yards allowed per attempt. By the way, Springs was listed at No. 4 in lowest completion percentage allowed (44.6 percent).

He has all the skills to be a great one...just needs to get it all together on the the field.
SamSneed36
We were looking great on first down runs in the second half of the Bears game. There were a few first down runs where Portis got 8 or 9 yards. We really need to get that on Monday. If we can, it really opens up a play action pass on a first down, and if we cant get the long completion leave us with 2 downs to get the first. We have to get the rn game going, thats our strong point and we have to use it effectivly. The O-line has to really come out in this game and abuse the D-line. I hope Jansen can get it done without his thumbs
lovellj
Thats a speedy reciever I think. Ummm...I fail to see where that wasn't a terribly thrown pass right to him, and what the speedy receiver jibe has to do with anything
Ron Mexico
You have to be rated to be overrated. No one talks about Terrance Newman and even Cowboy fans know he has a tendency to be burned. Thing is, he did great his rookie year, then they started to seriously enforce the illegal contact rule which screwed up his game somewhat as he is a very physical corner. On top of that he had no help at all last year in the secondary or in the front seven. No pass rush and two 7th round picks in the secondary don't help, nor does Roy Williams playing a position he isn't to good at.Terrance will be fine. He had his sophmore slump and will rebound, even though he was never considered an elite player. He is nowhere near as overrated as Laver Arrington, a man that has never and will never live up to his monstrous hype. Yeah i guess LaVar is as overrated as Roy Williams
