skinstzar
Sorry to piggy back but I was in the opposite endzone on the play were he was ruled down at the one in the second half. Did he get in on that one?
RabidFan
My question is if we were on the 6 yardline and Cooley and the DB had contact in the endzone...shouldn't that be illegal contact past 5 yards on the defense right away and that maybe cooley pushed off to break free from the illegal contact? chow184
he gets into the endzone, and the guy grabs onto him so he had to pushoff or continue getting held. it was a bad call. at the least it should have been pass interference on both cooley and the guy that grabbed him. however the refs only called it on cooley..... RabidFan
He was down at the one on the second catch. Also i believe that Mushin gained possession of that ball with utting two feet down after the catch before Pierson gave him that hard hit to fumble....but that is a closer call....the cooley PI call was horrid. RumpofSteelSKIN
Bad call. The DB reached out and engaged Cooley first. Cooley just freed himself and made a play. The DB himself immediately trotted off the field after the TD. His actions suggested the play was clean. Plus, on the same play, Sean Taylor ran a slant and was engaged by the DB in the end zone, past the 5 yard mark.

Leonard Washington
i agree the PI call was bad. on top of hugging cooley initially, cooley's "push off" barely moved the guy. irvin was saying the way you should push off is by using your forearms and don't extend your arms. It was a little too obvious. He extended his arms and created seperation. Irvin should know... he was the biggest push off artist I have ever seen.
