I am hard out on Howell at this point. Its just not going to get subsantinally better. Even some growth leaves him among the worst in the league

I am hard against owners making moves but I would all be in favor of Josh firing Ron and most of the FO to trade everyone he can. Just tank out please

If a new GM wants to move on from Sam shouldn’t that tell you something about him? Hell if there’s an argument that should tell you something.

There’s not a single universe that some one would say Hurney is anything above a bottom 5 GM candidate.

Ew to anyone from our current tree. Gross. I couldn’t be more turned off than continuing this putrid front office. They are among the worst front offices in the league. This isn’t just a fan thing either. League wise we’re looked down upon. So many various front office rankings has us bottom 3

The biggest difference is Howie was still in charge. It would be nice for both but I’d rather do own thing whole ass instead of trying to do one. I do want to try and get from the howie tree as well. I also do think the entire roster needs gutted. Coaching has sucked but the players and the way the roster is constructed isnt built for continued sustained success in todays nfl

They need to hard commit one way or the other this offseason. Imo his value won’t be higher in 2025 offseason if they want to trade him. Just say that if his rest of this season is the same as the last 7 he might fetch like a 3rd rounder or something. Some team spends 2 years trying to improve him or what ever. If he stays however and plays roughly the same his value plummets due to needing to trade for him AND sign him possibly. I just have a hard time seeing him here long term if he’s anything other than great the rest of the year. I just can’t envision a GM and HC wanting to commit I want them married just so we can avoid the year 3 QB reset we do with every staff. You stick with Howell or you make moves to acquire one this offseason in the draft or make moves to ensure draft capital and status to ensure you’re drafting top 3-5 in 2025

I just have a hard time envisioning a new GM signing up for the previous staffs 5th round Hail Mary and tossed aside OC being their HC decision. Half of Sams biggest asset, his cheapness, is gone. EB didn’t have an another Job offer this offseason. Would have crawled back to KC in some manner and it was clear that Andy wanted Nagy to be the OC due to the better relationship with Pat. The two most important selections a new GM makes and he goes with the bad last staffs options are slim to none IMO

This is my biggest thing as well. IMO the exact scenario is the biggest reason for our failures. The continuance of putting the onus of fixing the last staffs QB with the current staff. Just to only abandon their plan 3/4 of the way through their tenure to get their guy. Only to be fired a year or two later. Having to reset the cycle yet again. I desperately don’t want this to happen again for the new staff. If some one offers up a 3rd for Sam you take it.

I wanted offense pick one but there wasn’t really an option to go. They weren’t taking a WR again. The tackles were off the board. As was Bijan. No guard or TE. So pretty much everyone was a reach. Should have traded down but based on what was available the best value pick was a CB. Personally think 1st rounders should only go to the premier positions of QB LT WR CB Edge. Trade down otherwise. They just picked the wrong one stupidly. Think they were honestly surprised Gonzo fell and didn’t do enough homework on him.

More of hes been in College for forever. Given how long hes been in College he should be dominating.

Hard Pass on Penix. Hard pass on Bo for the same reason. The age is too much of an outlier for these guy.

We’ve been pretty lucky in this regard. I know we’ve gotten a lot of second opportunities on these 3rd and longs with some timely penalties each game. Some being very ticky tacky

And against good teams it’s going to constantly put you behind the sticks. It’s unsustainable against good teams.
