  1. Penning? That would work out very nicely for us as trade bait.
  2. First few minutes of this video perfectly sums up why it's not worth taking a receiver at 11 this year. They say everyone is a late 1st-2nd round talent. "Everyone feels like WR2" "There is no J.Chase in this draft" "this class is similar to 2018" This tells me that no receiver this year would have been a 1st rounder last year. That coupled with the fact that the majority of top receivers in the NFL are 2nd and 3rd rounders....we can't stand pat at 11 and take a receiver. The value is AWFUL. If we were a Patriots or Steelers level organization, we would trade down. We can still address WR with our top pick and get the same level of production/talent. I don't care if Olave is Terry's buddy. You don't take him unless he falls to the trade down pick, and I'd still prefer a bigger WR over him.
  3. There's a good chance a QB falls to 11. Only takes one team in love with one player. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
  4. We traded up for Montez Sweat. And that's without even thinking hard. Eagles and Saints just dealt picks without knowing who'd be there 100%.
  5. I've watched a little. He definitely has poise. My only concern is if Turner views him as athletic enough. But that can be offset if he's slippery enough in the pocket
  6. I'm starting to warm up on Coan. He's a low enough pick that it shouldn't rock the boat with Wentz's fragile ego... I could get behind him as a 6th/7th round pick.
  7. I share the same opinion on London. Friday will be a very big day for him. I go back and forth. He's boom or bust for me. Could see him being a stud but just as easily see him struggling to separate at the pro level with better corners. I'll defer to Ron, if he loves him I can get onboard. I'd still rather trade down but London is one of the few players that are maybe worth staying at 11 for. Olave definitely isnt. Count me out on London if he posts poor agility scores. 4.6 absolute max, but agility drills will be key.
  8. Leo Chenal had 96 tackles in 11 games, 8 sacks, and finished 2nd in TFL's in the country... I maybe get the argument on Lloyd over him, but anyone who has Nakobe Dean over Chenal is smoking crack. When the dust settles this kid will be the top MLB out of this class, hands down.
  9. I have a really good feeling that Troy Andersen will be a pick of ours. We interviewed him. Either 3rd or 4th(with a trade down)... After going offense with our top two picks. I'd be happy with that. And Andersen could develop into so much more. He could Play buffalo, play Mike...and be a weapon on offense. Our own Taysom Hill type player. You know we love our "position flex" guys.
  10. 5. Pickens/Watson/Pierce 1. Unless he tests terrible at pro day 4. 3. 2.
  11. I'd love to see where Damien Pierce ranks on that chart
  12. I pray that the Olave interest is manufactured to look legit due to the McLaurin connection in order to bait a trade-up. Or he's gone before we pick. I don't care how "cool" it would be to have an all Ohio State WR room. No serious team allows players to draft their buddies and it shouldn't matter to Terry or influence if he re-signs or not. He already has his friend in Curtis on the roster.
  13. Like I said I normally would agree with you but I genuinely believe the depth of this draft is special.
  14. Me too. I just also want an extra 2nd rounder and want a 3rd round pick back so we can address other needs too. Love Walker.
  15. And you're assuming the 2nd/3rd round talent this year are JAGS why exactly? Many say this is the deepest draft in perhaps NFL history due to covid. Just isn't a a good year to be missing picks IMO
  16. 1. You don't draft a WR2 at 11. Should be a guy with WR1 upside. 2. And yeah let's roll with Mayo at MLB again. 3. And how can you guarantee Collins will take a pay cut to come back? 4. TE: Logan won't be ready for the start of the year. You good starting Sammis Reyes? OL: Gaping hole the minute we have anywhere near the same amount of injuries as last year. Also need competition for Wes at RG. Wes should ideally be a backup. And no, I wouldn't roll with Heinicke. I'd trade down to recoup the lost picks given up in the Wentz trade and build around him.
  17. 2021 Receiving Leaders by Draft Round. Kupp - 3rd round Adams - 2nd Deebo - 2nd Andrews - 3rd Tyreek - 5th Diggs - 5th Lockett - 3rd Diontae - 3rd Unless you think there is a Chase or Justin Jefferson in the 1st this year... Not sure why we would want to draft one so high....
  18. And where were all those receivers taken?
  19. How do you propose we fix our holes at WR2, MLB, Buffalo,RB, TE, and OL? Or are you fine going into the season with thin position groups one injury away from disaster? One single player at 11 will make up for all those deficiencies? Or are you banking on post draft cuts to fill all those holes? We've had good success in middle rounds lately. I hate not having the draft capital to repeat that same success in one of the deepest draft classes in history due to covid. Also, where do Wilson, London and Olave rank if they were in last year's draft?
  20. TBD on Drake London for me. If he runs a 4.6 I'm lowering on him. But I would be fine with him at 11 if he tests well and he's one of the only ones. Value for Lloyd isnt there for me. He's 24y/o and closer to his ceiling vs. a guy like Chenal who'd be available later. Him or Muma/Andersen would be better value for not much difference in impact. Lloyd isn't Parsons. I could be talked into Hamilton maybe. And Davis isn't a realistic option for us. We're a better team with 4-5 players in rounds 1-3 this year than we would be with any of the options at 11 other than maybe Hamilton or London. Unless a crazy fall happens like a Sauce Gardner. All of the above is why I'm so keen on trading back.
  21. I was moreso saying that this draft in particular, with our needs what they are... That we have better odds to parlay a trade down into impact players. Usually your argument would be correct, but the superstar factor isn't there this year round 1 and the drop off in talent is minimal from 1st to 2nd round.
  22. I disagree. Yes, it's about who you select.... But the positional value of the positions we need is 2nd/3rd round. If we needed a CB, Edge, DT, QB then sure, you wouldn't trade down. But I doubt Olave would have even been a 1st rounder last year. You don't draft a guy that doesn't have WR1 upside at 11 overall. Look at the pro bowlers at WR that have come from the 2nd round. MLBs and RBs too.
  23. Something I don't see people talking about regarding Devin Lloyd. Dude is old. He will be 29 at the end of his rookie contract. Hot take, I'd rather Chenal over Lloyd. Lloyd is limited as a pass rusher too. All his sacks were free rushes or where he just ran past o-lineman. Chenal ran a faster 10yd split than Parsons too... Really hope we have our eye on him.
  24. Agreed. Like seeing Kenneth Walker, Breece Hall, and Ty Davis-Price on the visits/interview list. Wish Dameon Price was on there though. I think 4 deep RB depth charts become the standard. Need a complimentary back to Gibson and injury insurance. Can't afford to have the offense be crippled if Gibson misses a few games.
