Yeah this defense is basically built for nickel and dime packages. Great pass rushers, a couple good coverage LBs, and a deep, versatile secondary.

Which means the offense needs to take a major step forward.  Protecting a lead is what this D is built for right now.

The problem is he wasn't even good in the box. I mean we know he sucks in coverage but he was also whiffing tackles and taking bad angles constantly when playing near the line. He wasn't just overpaid last year, he was straight up bad.

I will go looking for it, but I am pretty sure the Defense's tackle rate went down significantly as a whole after he went out for the season.  The big missed tackles he did have are just burned in ya soul. (Lamar and Dan Jones smoking him, and those two guys can do that to just about any defender in the league.)

This nonsense is getting ridiculous.  Sweat, 2 1sts, and more for a soon to be 38 year old qb.  That's laughable.

I'd give up a 2021 1st, and not much more.  I'm not giving up a young stud like sweat.  I'm not giving up multiple 1sts.  I'd rather have 2 1sts and fitz than Rodgers.   If that means we dont get him, so be it.

Multiple firsts to be instant Super Bowl contenders?  Count me in.  But agreed, not giving up any of our young guys that are already in house.

I take with a grain of salt anything that Pro Football Talk say just like JLC.  So when players decide they want to move on they just throw a hissy fit and say they want to be traded.  So stick your thumb in your mouth and suck it like a little kid.  Any player who signs a contract or anyone who signs a contract is suppose to live up to the contract both sides.  It's a binding agreement between 2 or more parties.  Our World has come a long way and in the wrong direction.  Once the first player demands it and get's his way; others will follow.  Prayer is needed not only in this Country but in this World.  Our Forefathers, Grandfathers, Fathers didn't live this way!  Wake up America and World.  We are moving away from the principles that have kept our Country Free and Safe and Guided by God.  It's more than just football or any other sport or activity.  Sorry to ramble but wake up! 🙏

I agree with your sentiment and I am no defender of the ‘inmates running the asylum.’ This is what made the NBA unwatchable for me. Having said that, these players who signed a contract can be traded any moment without their consent (barring a no trade clause.) I think a player like Arod or Stafford, who has served their company/organization for so long can and should have a say in their futures.

OK.  But I presume for just about eveything I post some will care and some will not.  We are all driven by different things.   So on the rare times when someone goes out of their way to say they don't care, I'll explain why I posted it.   As for posts made from others, some I care about and others I don't, it comes with the turf.  i am not going to be into everything that others think are interesting.

Lol you are misunderstanding me. I get it. No hate from over here brother.  I was saying my original rhetorical question of “who cares what this guy thinks” was already covered by your original post; he is typically cynical and he thinks its a good move. I wasnt advocating you only post things I care about.

(Basically my original comment was dumb.)

I typically don't but found it amusing considering he's covered this team for decades and is typically a very cynical dude.

Yea you basically explained why you posted it when you posted it. I just don’t care for his takes.

What would you guys give up for Aaron Rodgers if he asks to leave Green Bay this summer?

About the same I would give up for Stafford, personally. 2 high picks.

Does Collins have any trade value?  I don’t think he does, but it’d be great to move on without the cap hit.  He may be have to go on the PUP.

That contract is pretty ugly. I also think he has a place on the team still. Lots of packages with both Collins and Curl with a centerfielder behind them (Reaves/Rookie?)

For my own personal entertainment I actually looked up Cousins’ QBR from the Sunday night game against Green Bay. It’s significantly higher than Heinicke’s on Saturday 😅

    Looks like I was misinformed.

The figures I am referencing are PFF's grading.  This is different than a QBR rating.  PFF had him graded out higher than that performance.

If you count the regular season and just look at the performance in a vacuum it was not the best QB performance. RG3 on thanksgiving, Kirk Cousins on SNF against the Packers, RG3 vs Philly off the top of my head were better.

Some great performances for sure, but neither guy bested Taylor’s QBR from Saturday.

There were at least 2 in the in the Carolina game that should've been picked - one in the end zone - and a few others. My main point is that I think we just have had such bad QB performances that we get spoiled by an above average game here and there. I don't know that's he not going to be great -but I do know the majority of pro ready QB's coming out of college and half the backups in the league coming up are capable of replicating in a short span what Heinicke has done over 5 qtrs. I hope he gets a chance to compete for the job next year - but I'm not sold in any way that's he's markedly above average right now.

Above average? That was the best redskin qb performance in almost a decade and a half.
