Gb OT will not sign here, probably a contender if at all ?

Humphries from AZ is injured but would fit well if healthy but got hurt [acl] on new years eve cant play till?

Peat from New Orleans is option?.He older

Bring back Leno? I think he just had major surgery?

They have to do something? I just don't understand why this does not seem to be a priority?

I agree....this is worst than what Ron did last year.  I thought for sure we were going to sign Mekhi Becton but we didn't entertain it at all.

I'm just not sure what we are going to do unless there are some seriously talented guys released or we trade for someone.  Not doing a great job of protecting Jayden right now.

Yes.  Inconsistent as heck player but measurables are great.

Yeah I love Mims he's such a smooth player in pass protect.  He moves like he's 300 pounds.

I don't know....I think he looks likes Frankenstein in pass pro.  He has a rock solid base but he's got some heavy feet.  To me he moves like a guard but he does have ideal length.  But I will say that comparing Cornelius Lucas in college to now in the NFL looks night and day.

When Mims develops he will be a stud.

But I want Mekhi Becton...bring the kid back home and plug him in at RT.  I think Becton could be our Morgan Moses and then we just have to nab one of these tackles in a very deep class.

Yeah 67 feels like the right range for Sainristil.  I think he gets picked some where between there and 78.  Guys like him don't really star in the NFL, unless featured in a D like KC does with their zone slot defenders, but they also don't really bust.

But 67 is the pick I'm eyeballing guys like Corum, Cooper Beebe, and Bralen Trice at. I'm dreaming big there.  Probably none of them will still be on the board, but maybe.  I'm also trying to guess where T'Vondre Sweat will go.  Might still be able to get him at 100, but if he's got a serious drinking problem, I'll pass until 139.  On sheer talent, he's huge value at 67 though.

Maybe Austin Booker or Jonah Elliss are in play around 67 too.  Elliss was an All American like Sainristil too, and Booker is a true home run swing.  Zierlein's comp on him is freaking Maxx Crosby, and I don't think he's way off base.  The guy is shockingly skilled and creative for a late comer to football with almost no starting experience. His basketball background is a big plus for pass rushing because he has such good CoD and hand eye foot coordination.  But he's strong and tough enough for football.

Point being, I'm still hunting for potential stars at 67, and Sainristil would be down my list for favorite outcomes at that spot.  I also think we can snag good corner value in the fourth round.

If Cooper Beebe is there in Round 3 then you sprint to the podium.

But overall I am really excited about Round 2.  I think we are going to get a stud to fall to us at #36.  Could be Mims or even Barton....I just hope we keep getting QBs to go in the first round, it will only push more talent into Round 2.

I'm not a Maye guy - on the record I'd take McCarthy & Daniels over him but the rest is excellent I agree. On Day 3, there are several Safety and LB prospects I like but Air Force's Bo Richter is growing on me. That dude is an athlete personified.

I have been a Pro Daniels guy the whole time....but after getting through more than half of this video I have started to sour on him.  When watching the complete games the rhythm of his play is much smoother, but putting it in context while highlighting just his throws and decisions....I think he holds the ball entirely too long and is not overly accurate and he takes a ton of hits.

McCarthy looks really smooth but has the elongated release...to me that is his only issue.  I really like McCarthy and wouldn't be surprised if we trade back and get him.

Drake to me has a ton of potential and I do think he could be good but I think he needs a run dominant team to bring him along slowly.

I like Jayden but I wouldn't be upset if we ended up with a draft haul in a trade and selected Maye or McCarthy...with McCarthy being my choice.

It sounds like Sweat is a dummy and that he has a drinking problem.  I don't think there is much he can say to mitigate his behavior and reassure you that he's come to Jesus and won't keep drinking.  You have to weight the risk of his off-field behavior against his upside relative to the other players available at your pick during the draft.  We have to see who is available on draft day, but for me, that calculation will probably tip in his favor during our picks in the third, and definitely by 100.  If he were still somehow there at 139, I would run the pick to the podium.

Ummmm.....no.  He's too hot and cold and his character is now in question.  He looks horrible in the Alabama film and to me looks like a Day 3 pick.  Then you watch his Oklahoma film and he looks much better.

He reminds me of Terrence Cody out of Alabama a few years ago.  I honestly think he would be a waste of a pick.  He just can't move.

Now if you are talking about Braden Fiske then you might get my attention.  He might fall because he's already 24 years old.

I’m curious, what would’ve been your opinion on Daniels prior to his 5th year? His tape was signicantly less impressive than anything Maye has put up the last 2 years.

I do know Daniels was excellent at Arizona State and has progressed every year.  He beat #6 Oregon as a true freshman and has always protected the ball and has been a real playmaker.

Maye regressed this year and he could get better or worse....no chance we take a risk knowing that he played poorly this year.  His stock is so high because he had a stellar year last year.  This year no one can say he played well.  He's a prime example of a boom or bust prospect.  He should have stayed another year and developed.  Too risky to think he could elevate his game or just crash.

Dude is mythical, really. I know I have been kidding around but his pro day went from 60 throws to 70. Now 80. And y’all really got me feeling like if Josh Allen was feed a steady diet if Andrew Luck he would digivolve into Drake Maye. Post snap reads on point. Big play maker by nature. Dude is even sneaky athletic. What else could you want

I think a lot of us are going to look silly when Drake falls in this draft.  It seems like no one has actually watched him play football this year.  Everyone sees a young kid who has the prototypical physical appearance but none of the game.  Dude looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

These mock drafts and highlight films are fools gold.  Take the time to watch UNC, UVA and the Clemson film.  If he can't do it in college I know he won't do it in the league.

    I dont think its unnecessary.

It's just part of the competitive nature of the league.

Teams (agents too) will take drastic measures to manipulate things to get what they want, and the media will be happy to post it because the clicks are there and the audience is hungry.

There is no accountability because we dont want there to be any.

If the public demanded the truth, we would get it.

But we dont, so we wont.

We click on the articles, we watch the videos, therefore we fund the disinformation.

Are there journalists who play things straight...? Of course there are, but they can only print what they are being told.

Its the game within the game. One hand washes the other, and around and around we go.

    Here is a fake example:

Arizona Cardinals are picking 4th overall this year. They want to draft Maye because they are ready to move on from Kyler but they dont want to invest the draft capital to move up, they want to stick and pick.

What do you think is the best way to make that happen, play it straight and offer a haul to move up?

    Maybe...

or you could run a "campaign" that discredited the player so he would drift down a few picks.

    Remember this:

    image.thumb.png.6ba16e028d916a71c1890f5cf6dbe9a3.png

Ask yourself, did Tunsil really deserve to fall in that draft?  Is he not one of the best players at his position in the league? His current paycheck would suggest so...

You could say the same thing about Jonathan Allen and the 'shoulder issue'

Montez Sweat and his 'heart condition'

Guys will continue to fall because of the slandering and garbage being pushed out.  This Jayden Daniels elbow thing is just so silly it's almost funny.  Luckily we have 6 picks in the top 100....here's hoping one of these stud offensive tackles drop in the draft.

That is exactly what JD will be after the first hit in preseason.

Daniels has player 5 years in college and has never missed a game.  What am I missing?

Bryce Young is built like a teenage girl and had zero talent on his team....he survived.

I think Jayden Daniels will be just fine. He's 6'4 and 210 pounds, he's only going to build on to that frame as well.  He's basically the same size as Jordan Love.

Why, when you could have the guy who's younger and with more upside? We're not going to be competing for a Super Bowl this year.

How do you get more upside than Jayden Daniels?  Extremely gifted runner, accurate passer, exceptional deep ball accuracy and a great leader and improves every year.

When Jayden is drafted he will also be 8 days younger than Joe Burrow and 1 month older than Eli Manning when they were drafted.

Sam Darnold was also young and talented....we saw how that worked out for him.  Give me the older player who has experience and can handle the leap to the NFL without becoming damaged goods trying to develop basic fundamentals.

I hope Drake Maye runs a  4.55-4.6 40 and everyone can talk about how “sneaky athletic” he is.

I really hope he runs, jumps, etc. Just be a competitor.

Drake won't risk that....he's still riding the wave from that stellar sophomore year.  He has enough people questioning his play from this year...no chance he risk more draft hit with a possible poor 40 time.

Sam Howell didn't come out of college with an obscenely high big time throw rating like Maye did. PFF's definition of a big time throw is "passes with excellent ball location and timing, generally thrown further down the field and/or into a tighter window"

And I have watched the film. I've watched the film and looked at the stats and they back each other up. Maye makes a high number of NFL level throws. 2nd level, tight window, middle of the field, anticipation. That's why his big time throw number is so high.

Does he have things he has to clean up and fix with his footwork, etc? Of course. Pretty much every prospect does. But his ability to make those NFL throws NOW is a huge plus for him vs a guy like Daniels who has a low number of them or McCarthy who just doesn't pass the ball that much.

I don't know Tim....Maye just doesn't do it for me.  He just looks horrible on film.  If you look at his highlights he may seem like the real deal, but the film looks shaky at best.  He misses sooooo many easy passes.

But I think the hype comes from his first year as a starter where he was extremely young, had the size and put up the stats....his ceiling going into year 2 as a starter was sky high.  I think he flopped last year and he played poorly.  I am not going to be surprised when he falls in the draft.  I also think he's not ready to start next year either.  If we draft the kid and he's not ready then what are we doing?  Start Mariota?

Drake Maye is a project and a huge gamble at #2.

If he's so inaccurate beyond 5 yards how does he have the most big time throws of any QB coming out over the last several years?

We can say the same thing about Sam Howell.....how was he leading the league in passing yards?  We were throwing the ball all over the yard

Watch the film....not the stats.  He's a developmental QB right now.  I would not touch that kid in the first round.  Watch the Virginia film and tell me what you think.
