Guy has to learn some different moves as he continues to come back from injury this off-season.

He won’t be a part of this team long term. He’s so far behind elite pass rushers in this league, and isn’t even the best rush end on the team. 

This isn’t a playoff roster and that’s fine I do t think we should be expecting one. We should be doing our best to acquire pieces so that in 2-3 years we are there. 
 

that said I hope we make it and I’ll be rooting for us every weekend like I always do.

Nope, not a hot take or a joke at all. Provide your football analysis to suggest different, otherwise you have contributed nothing.

The issue is when we keep handing him off up the middle, he ends up running into guys a lot. There is just too much traffic there and he doesn't have the patience or vision to wait for that cutback lane to hit it for more yardage. McKissic is better at this.

 

I'd also like to see him more on screens and actually out running routes downfield where he can put that WR skillset to use.

 

My big thing is, get him away from the traffic. That's bellcow back area. He ain't that.

So I appreciate your opinion I just happen to disagree on pretty much most of it. I don’t think he’s good in space at all. I’ve said a lot he has heavy feet and has trouble making people miss. I also don’t think he has a great receiver skill set. He’s 230, not a good route runner, and not really quick twitch.  He NEEDS to be a between the tackle player because that’s what his body and skill set dictates. 
 

The occasional screen is fine and he has the straight line speed to take it home, but I just don’t see much of anything else from him.  He’s a product of volume in my opinion at this point

But Gibson does do some things well. We just don't maximize those things and are trying to use him in a role that focuses more on his weaknesses than strengths.

Correct take. We as fans are so starved for talent we will make anything bigger than it is.  Mckissic is the better player in pretty much every single area except size/durability

I’d like to see us be a little more creative with AG. Don’t think Samuel is a really good comparison (he’s more physical to my eye) and also think Shanny Jr. is the best offensive mind in the game. The guy can scheme anybody open. Against anybody. Including Belichick.

Definitely a jag. Feeds off volume. Average ball skills. Poor vision.

He doesn’t have the ball skills of kamara or McCaffrey or Debo. He also has heavy feet 

Gibson has heavy feet,mediocre Vision, and average ball skills. Good straight line speed after he gets going and can be physical. He’s a jag. 

Imagine if chase young had 1/100th the ability of Micah Parsons

Defensive line is extremely overrated. Said it consistently back to last year. Chase young is just a guy.  Career ceiling of Clowney.

linebackers are porous and secondary is atrocious. As a coach these days myself there is of course responsibility on jdl.  But players simply aren’t making plays and worst of the bunch for me is the defensive line, simply because of expectation. They aren’t close to the talent level people (including themselves) think they are.

Most overrated defense, defensive line specifically, we have had here in years. I’d start thinking trades at this point. The more dog **** film they put out the worse their value becomes.
