Josh Allen has made one AFC Championship game, no Superbowl. Justin Herbert hasn't even won a single playoff game. 0-1 in 4 years. Mahomes is the top guy and there is only one guy who's being compared to him which is Caleb Williams.

Nothing wrong with losing against Mahomes. They're both great QBs with no superbowls and they both have a long time in this league. Only of them is a 2x MVP tho.

Your Maye comparisons have been Allen and Herbert. Allen doesn't have a superbowl appearance and Herbert has never won a playoff game...just saying.

Dan Quinn was impressed by Daniels ability to process against SEC defenses (so it does hold some weight in his evaluations): Quinn said seeing Daniels play against SEC defenses helped in his evaluation. That QB school episode on this year's draft prospects was very good. "If he's such a good QB then why doesn't he throw good" - regarding Drake Maye. It's funny reading the posts in this thread because it's really just excuse after excuse why Drake has some glaring issues.

I think there's a better chance of Maye falling out of the top 5 than us selecting him at 2. I'm not trying to be harsh but I think he needs to sit an entire year. The Pats would be a good fit cause they have Brissett who can start but do they want the risky selection after what happened with Mac Jones? Not sure. Chris Simms labeled Maye a project and JT O'Sullivan says he has Tebow like misses (yikes) and doesn't have a natural throwing motion. Warner mentioned similar issues and so did Greg Cosell. It's just too many people who more qualified than any of us saying the same thing. If you watch on Blake Bortles UCF tape...he looks just like Maye. Bortles could've been a lot better if he could sit and work his game. I will say that if we select Maye then we need to let Mariota play the entire year. I would hope the staff doesn't let the pressure from the fans make him start too early.

Now do passing stats. I'm pretty sure Maye blows him out the water on that too. Several QBs would cause Allen is a unicorn. Allen is a rare find.

I don't think he's bad. I just think Daniels is the better choice with much less to work on. I'm leary on QBs who main issue is throwing the football. Throwing motion, footwork, etc...he has to clean that stuff up.

Maye is big but those dudes are another level. Maye doesn't have the rushing ability that Josh Allen has. The only QB that is definitively a better runner is Lamar...maybe Fields but he's not the same level of QB as those two. I don't see that from Maye, sorry. As I've said before Jayden reminds me of a taller Kyler Murray which sounds like a pretty good QB to me.

Blake Bortles and Sam Darnold would be my comparison for Maye. And Mariota doesn't play like either of those dudes imo. Agree to disagree.

We've barely seen Trey Lance play football. I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion and I can't think of a worse comparison.

Mariota's play style is nothing like Maye's imo. And also Maye needs to sit a year. He has a lot to work on. If he doesn't sit then he'll most likely be Blake Bortles 2.0 NFL defenders are going to feast on his slow delivery.

No, I mean Kingsbury as the OC. Signing Mariota as the primary backup. I thought those two things made it clearly obvious who they're selecting.

Add Greg Cosell to that list as well. He has Jayden over Maye. He said Maye is a drifter in the pocket and causes the OL to look bad when it's really not their fault. He said it's a real concern. Yeah he has the tools but he has a lot of work to do. Everything points to taking Daniels and it's the right decision.
