It’d be tough to see an organization that has gone through what it’s gone through over the past few years turn around and hire a guy with Bieniemy’s baggage.

What baggage? I don’t follow the game like some of you do.
This may make the team look for another vet to take over as any QB will now all be on the same page starting with a new system.

  2. I keep seeing post that say that our play book is limited with Taylor. Did we win games with the full playbook? Did Scott and RR finalize realize that maybe the whole play book doesn’t gel well with the Oline and what we have at QB? Taylor isn’t a great QB, maybe a decent back up. Wentz evidently isn’t a great QB with this team and playbook.
Running  the football has won 4 of 5 games. Maybe with this current team it doesn’t matter who the QB is, but using the whole play book wasn’t working in the first half of the season. Maybe the players, all of them, on offense cannot run Scott’s total playbook.

    Amazon’s Culture of Frugality

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos may be the richest person, but he isn't well-known for his billion-dollar donations and philanthropic efforts like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.

Additional criticism has recently been heaped on Bezos' charitable ways,

    https://www.businessinsider.com/jeff-bezos-amazon-how-much-donations-charity-2019-5

I too have heard that Bezos can be cheap. But making donations is no one’s business but theirs. Who knows , he may give anonymously, he may not. I have an uncle ,tax lawyer retired, that still work for just a few very affluent people. He says some give like it’s going out of style and some don’t at all. Doesn’t make them good or bad people.
not saying that you are calling out anyone.

Only the Commanders can find a way to win the worst game ever played and then subsequently lose the press conference.

The best part of the night was Al Michaels’ one liners about how pathetic the game was and crushing Dan.

My one takeaway is that it looks as if Scott Turner is actively trying to sabotage the offense.  It’s that bad.  So many play calls that appear to be the absolute worst possible call for the situation.  It’s almost unbelievable how bad he is at calling plays.

Wasn’t it the end of the third when michaels said something to the effect it’s a shoot out? Almost fell off the couch

How good does Wentz have to be in order to get an extension and how soon do you think it happens if he gets off to a hot start?

I am not asking that question because I am necessarily pro-Wentz, or even think he will have that kind of start in the first place, but I do wonder when it comes to the front office and being desperate for a QB, where is the fine line between "of course he is better than the mediocrity we've had here versus okay this guy is playing special and we need to make sure he is here longer?"

Which way do you think the front office is leaning right now, towards the fact that the contract offers a clean slate after the season, or itchy trigger finger to lock Wentz up the moment he shows signs of taking this team to a different level then it's been in a long time?

Don’t have a clue which way the front office leans, but he would still be under contract the next two years at $26 mil and $27. He can be cut the end of this year with zero dead money, if I’m not mistaken.

So than sign him. Quit talking about and do it.

I think this thing gets ugly. Terry has all the leverage. I think he forces a trade. Terry can demand any number he really wants within reason. Like 27 mil. His camp knows that the team needs a win in PR.

Leverage, which team has 20-25 million to throw at him this year plus a #1 draft pick( most likely).  He may sit outa and come in with 6 games left together his year in than 2 years of franchise tag.

It’s a bit premature for us to pick sides when we have no details.

I don’t know if this was directed at me, but I would like to make clear that I am definitely not picking a side. Was just asking a question.
Truth is since about 2015 I have

lost a lot of my interest in football. I go to nfl.com and watch the little football go up and down the field and read what happened on the play, as I got tired of watching the product our team has been putting out on the field, instead of paying for the Sunday ticket.

Because of the language within the contracts, the union, etc.  On the other side of the coin, you have owners and GM's who regularly cut guys when they wish even though they are 'under contract'.

Other than the word contract, I'm not sure what is really similar at all.

The guaranteed portion will be paid out, correct? Now I do have a problem with the non guaranteed portion of contacts.

Rookie contracts are essentially forced on to you. You don't really negotiate anything, you're slotted into your contract based on your draft position.

McLaurin has VASTLY outperformed his rookie deal. Hell as a 3rd round pick he's pretty much already outperformed his deal after his rookie year. He's entitled to renegotiate and get his worth.

The league makes billions, largely off the backs of guys like McLaurin who make pennies(relatively). We would all 100% do the exact same thing in his situation and you're full of S if you say otherwise.

The players at the time made the CBA, after scrubs were  getting more money than established players.
I more than definitely would want more of the pie, never said the opposite. But the players do know what they are getting into.

No offense but I see this comparison a lot, and it’s apples to oranges.  Your contracts to perform construction work are entirely different than sports contracts.  It’s not even healthy to pretend they are in any way alike.

The principal is the same, but would like to hear why it isnt

  11. Why is it the owners and GM’s always getting spat on, here we’ll deserved, an not the player. Terry signed the contract, play it out. He knew well going into the league what the first contact is. I’m not a fan of Snyder at all, but expect some hits  back.
Seems sports is the only companies that contracts don’t matter.
Now I will say he does deserve a new contract, as good as he is.
I own a small construction company, I cannot go to the home owner and say I underbid this job and need more money or I won’t finish the project.
    just my 2 cents.

The only way he gets a new stadium is if he pays for it himself (which he cannot do), or if some locality lures him with the offer of funding. He won't get any stadium money from DC, VA or MD. Nary a nickel. The jig is up.

Tired of tax payers footing the bill for these teams. Atlanta built the new stadium while the Ga Dome wasn’t paid off. There have been studies that stadiums do not make money. Let these teams finance all of it them selves.
