  1. My approach is, I don't really understand all of the nuances of knee injuries so I'll just ignore the issue and wait for some expert to tell me whether his knees are any good or not before the draft. He's only 18, how bad can they be?

I made that mistake with Malcolm Kelly. Now I'm skeptical.

It's funny, but now it's to the point where I feel more of a connection to the Wizards and Nats than I do with the Redskins. It's like I have to drag myself up on Sundays to watch the Redskins play but I genuinely look forward to watching the Nats and Wizards play each night. The Redskins are a slowly sinking battleship decommissioned a while ago for obsolescence and they will probably continue to die a little bit every day Dan Snyder is the owner. The Nats and Wizards are exciting, hungry young teams destined for bright things.

I'm surprised I'm even here. I don't come here nearly as often as I used to. I don't listen to the radio too often any more because they're always talking about the Redskins and/or the NFL lockout. I pretty much have gone into a situation where I'm a Wizards/Caps fan who occasionally care about the Redskins. maybe its because of the lockout, but I remember being sooooo excited when we got Wall and following the Wizards all last year in preparation for another crappy Redskins season. At least with the Wizards/Capitals I have hope that we'll get better. With the Skins, its more like a required course for graduation. I don't have any passion about whats actually going on, I just root because I'm supposed to. It really does suck, and in my opinion, this town is ripe to become a basketball town.

  2. There is no God. There is only David Stern.

But that's a good point. The whole point of the lottery is to deter teams from tanking. Maybe David Stern will reward the one team who plays by the rules and refuses to tank.

I pray you're right. While I'm not gaga over anybody in this draft, I think I'd like Williams, Barnes and Kanter in that order. I'm still not quite sold on Kanter because I haven't seen him play, but from what I read he could be something this team really needs, and an asset to McGee, as well as the player that keeps Blatche out of the starting spot (and possibly off this team). I'm also into T. Jones, but only if we have a later pick as I don't really see him as a top 5 guy.

  3. Awesome. Don Maclean is the post-game color man.

I missed this game to install a showerhead...

They just replayed Gordon's 3 to send it to OT. Got McGee up with a pump fake? On a 6 foot guard?

Wall had a knockdown j on a fastbreak that totally reminded me of watching Sam Cassell...

In all honesty, I can't blame McGee for that. I mean, its 5 seconds to go. I'm glad he didn't foul. McGee and Jeffers went for that block and both missed. It was just a well timed shot. And I thought it was beautiful. Too bad it was a backbreaker.

Crawford has played one hell of a game, but what the hell was he thinking with that shot?

we're all wondering that. I'm proud of my team though. They played a hell of a game though. And I think Crawford and Wall are developing chemistry. I like that. Now hopefully Crawford and Young can develop chemistry. I think Crawford or Young can makes a nice backup PG/SG and solidify our guards by bringing some points off the bench.

  4. I'm more in favor of Harrison Barnes or Terrance Jones with our Lottery Pick. I think we've got a nice set of guards with Wall at Point, Young at the 2, and Crawford as a nice backup to both. Sure, it'd be nice to get a nice reserve PG, but before we start looking at backups, we need to get some starters. I really don't trust McGee or Blatche in an 82 game season. People are hype about Kanter, but I've got to reserve judgement on him til I've seen more of him.

Oh and Yi is a complete bum. I'll be beyond bitter if we give him anything more than a one year deal with a low number. And I'm not sure we should even do that. I guess as bench filler but that's absolutely it. Great athlete, beyond soft, and arguably the most clueless player in the league. And if he hasn't gotten it yet, he ain't never getting it.

I'll be bitter if we give him that. I want that guy off our team. He has no offense and no defense. No inside presence, no shot, what is he on the court for? And we're starting him now? Over Evans?

  5. So this is probably a bad thought, but I had an eerie feeling that Thomas and Samuels would go down early in the year. Now I'm scaired that the next guy to go down will be Mike Williams. I don't know if it'll be a serious injury, but I dont think he can make it through a whole season at RT and I'm really wondering how bad our OL will be when he does go down.

  6. This Giants Game is looking nice. Eli just had a nice pass to Manningham called back. He did something Campbell doesn't normally do, and thats threw it to a spot before the WR was there. Sometimes Campbell does that with Moss, and with Thrash 2 years ago, but I wish he'd do that more.

EDIT 1 : Whats also interesting is that Campbell isn't the only QB who throws it short of the 1st down marker on 3rd down. Delhomme just checked down and threw it about 7 yards on 3rd and 15 or so.

EDIT 2: Eli got a nice first down on a pass to Jacobs. The thing I noticed about it was the pass was high and forced Jacobs to jump for it. Jacobs did and got the first down. Thats something that Campbell can do as well, if only our WRs (I'm looking at you Hagans) could jump and catch the ball...well, that guy Kelly can do just that. Hopefully we'll see more of that from JC this year.
