  1. Ha I see what you did there - to word it perfectly, so it didn't look like the 2 statements contradicted
  2. I was able to find the full fight, and watch it. It was indeed quite entertaining. It was interesting also to see Guida interviewed and "accept the challenge" from Conor McGregor, who apparently had called him out previously. This is the guy that quite a few fighters said could beat Aldo, including Florian, who has fought Aldo.
  3. That's cool. I was worried he might be in danger of being cut, in light of some recent events in the UFC, and things said about him.
  4. I appreciate all the highlights provided here of the Nelson fight, since I missed that card. But could someone fill me in on the Guida fight ? Through summary, and/or video and/or gifs/pics ? Was it the typical random/awkward/dancing Guida, or did he engage much ?
  5. Yea, the Anderson impersonation is hilarious. On one hand, it kind of sounds accurate. But on the other hand, it sounds like a man trying to impersonate a woman's voice. It's too high-pitched for Anderson. He's high, but not that high. It reminds me of those Telemundo or Univision shows, that have the male Latino actors, dressed up in women's clothes, and trying to talk like women. (and I realize Anderson is not technically Latino)
  6. Have you guys seen this ? The impersonations of the voices and personalities are spot on. I think some language may be NSFW
  7. Jake's done http://www.mmamania.com/2014/4/7/5590078/ufc-cuts-jake-shields-following-ufc-171-loss-to-hector-lombard-mma
  8. Tonite's fight in Natal, Brazil, will be in a time zone that is one hour ahead of Eastern Time in US. It probably won't make much of a difference, but maybe I'm just paranoid about time zones, after missing the recent fights in China and London
  9. I havn't seen anyone mention how bad Condit's injury is, or how long he'll be out. The last I heard, Rogan said it "looked" like an ACL, right after it happened. But then I saw Condit walked around somewhat normal, minutes after the fight. But I also know you can walk after injuring either the ACL or MCL, can't remember which. So, what happened ? Was he basically just "shaken up", as they say in football ?
  10. So, cutting the beard would have helped him make weight, as well ?
  11. I just re-watched the Gus vs Manuwa fight. And Manuwa totally looked like he DID NOT want to be there. Before the fight, during the fight, and in between the rounds, he just had this dazed, lethargic look on his face, like he didn't give a damn about the fight. Almost like he was about to cry.
  12. It's too bad that Diego Sanchez and Jake Shields are a weight class apart. Or else they could pair those 2 together, and surely DIego would light a fire under Jake's butt.
  13. Damn, can't wait for this Saturday's event. This whole card is LOA-DED ! Fortunately for you guys, it's on American soil, so you won't have to worry about missing this thing, from the crazy time zones. Who you got for Hendricks and Lawler ?
  14. Wait, this fight was supposed to be my plans for saturday night. If it already happened, then what the **** am I gonna do now, tonite ???
  15. I forgot to set my watch to China time too, dammit
  16. I was actually thinkin of the most recent Faber fight, vs Barao, but that one too
  17. So far, with Johnson, Poirier and Miller, it's USA 3 Brazil 0 It's up to Weidman now, to make it 4-0
  18. Question for you all. What percentage of Anderson's peak is he at right now ? If you still consider him still at the peak of his ability and career despite his age, that would be 100%. If his skills have diminished over time, would you say he is 90% of his peak ? 80% ? etc....
  19. I'm not a fan of his, but when it comes to taking punishment, he's a true warrior.....along the lines of Diego Sanchez, IMO
