  1. Yeah. I never had seen a parking pass before that, so I figured it was right. Then of course after the spelling errors I was like yeah.....then noticed some of the other green passes as we got closer and how much shinier they were. It worked though as you said and that's all I care about!

  2. Yeah some of them are simple, no doubt about it - and I'm not saying that due to lack of education, I think some people are just stupid and they happen to be those people. Anyways I scanned the parking pass to give you a comparison. Granted the real one is newer, and will have some changes compared to the 2006 versions, but either way you get the point.

  3. Very interesting about the parking passes. Back in 2006 when I was unfamiliar with the areas around Fedex Field, a friend of mine told me about a place he parks at that's 'hidden', not going to mention where because apparently it's still there. Either way I couldn't find it so I had to buy a parking pass. It was fake as hell after looking at other green passes, but the attendants let us right on in with the other cars. Not to mention this was with lines of cars, it's not like they got a quick glance, they easily could have seen it.

  4. Yeah I can back up the the 'B3 doesn't fill up till an hour before kickoff.' I've never seen it filled when I've left for the game (usually leave an hour before kickoff). When I come back there are more cars parked in the lot, but nothing close to what it is when I've left.

  5. Those guys are clueless enough as is already. They almost caused an accident with us. We came from Arena Drive (before we started taking East Capitol) and they make you drive through some of the orange / green lots to get to the B3 lot. Well we had to cross Garrett Morgan and they directed us to go, yet failed to stop the traffic on Garrett Morgan, almost caused a T bone.

  6. It's the road you cross to get to that lot and the one with all the police lined up at the end. I've never seen anyone escorted out, but that could be what they use it for and would make sense to keep it blocked for that purpose.

Yeah that's the road then. I've seen one or two escorts go up that way with a couple limo's and transportation buses - or at least that's what they looked like.

Ok, I just got off the phone with the TO and was told that there will be green passes and green B3 passes. If you have a green pass then you can park in any of the lots and if you have a green B3 pass you can only park in green B3 with the possibility of being upgraded to the green pass in future years. Hope that helps everyone.

Oh okay, that makes sense, in a way I guess. It sucks for people who have been waiting for green to tailgate with others, only to be stuck in one lot. I guess the lot will be more filled now compared to other seasons if they are selling them for that specific lot. Hopefully we won't have a hard time entering from Garrett Morgan Blvd then.

That is going to be confusing for the parking attendants....green is green......Seems like using a different color would have made more sense. But oh well.....I wonder if green parkers can park in the green B3 lot?

I would hope so. Being I don't have Green and have some trades available for Green, I don't want to be turned away from that lot because that's where we like to park.

  7. Wish I had known you could use that back exit. I've parked there a couple times and the traffic problem with that lot is getting to Morgan Blvd. Once you're on Morgan Blvd, it doesn't take that long to get to Central Avenue. However, Morgan Blvd is swamped with people walking back to Metro. Pedestrians ignore signs and cones and tape and whatever else and walk a lot in the street. I haven't heard of any pedestrians being hit, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's happened.

I know the neighborhoods would never agree to it, but it would be nice if Hill Oaks Road could be used as another way to Sheriff Road.

Yeah, that's why we park closer to the back of the lot. We made the mistake the first game and parked closer to the front, in which we were trapped in. Plus having an Excursion makes it a lot harder to move around compared to having a car. So being further back helps us get out easier / faster as well.

Is Hill Oaks Road the road where the police escorts take people to get them out easier? That little housing development with the gate blocking access to it?

  8. I've been parking in that lot since 2008 and you could always exit it from the back after the game, but before then the gate had always been locked. I guess they are trying something new to help lower traffic on Garrett Morgan Blvd (considering that's how you'd get to that lot).

We always tailgate so there's never traffic when we show up, but I guess closer to game time it gets worse and they are hoping that opening that little back road will help decrease it.

  9. The only thing that would have made sense to me was if they were changing the B3 lot to a different color, but they stated in the email it's still Green. Very strange. You should call up the TO for us and ask.

  10. Parking upgrade, whats the new B 3 lot?

Congratulations. The Redskins have been able to upgrade your Gray Lot parking to an on-site space at FedExField in the new Green B3 Lot. The B3 Lot is accessible from both Redskins Road and Garrett Morgan Blvd and allows for a quick and easy exit from FedExField to Landover Road via Sheriff Road. In minutes you’ll be back on the Beltway or the BW Parkway. Your new parking will be sent to you with your 2011 Redskins season ticket package. If you prefer to remain in the Gray Lot for the 2011 season, please contact the Redskins Ticket Office immediately at 301-276-6050 or tickets@redskins.com.

B3 lot isn't new, it's been there for a long time. I've been parking there for the past 3 years for the exact reason of the exit on to Sheriff Road. It's located behind the players lot, right behind that tree line. If you know where the escalators are, it's right there, you pretty much have a b line to the escalators, so if you use them you'll love the lot. It's paved and all that and holds a lot. Some people have said in previous years it was used as an overflow lot? Which I think it might still be. I've always parked there, but noticed that about an hour before kickoff, a lot of cars started entering the lot (assuming cause the other lots were filled).

I do wonder though, if they are saying B3 lot, does that mean you no longer can park in any lot with green passes? Weird.

  11. Any first year season ticket holders get their seats issued yet?

Not yet and I check mine daily, even though I shouldn't be worrying till about the end of the month. However I'm like a kid on Christmas and am too anxious, so the day I see the seats I'll be happy.

Those of you who can see your seats, is it on the main page or did you have to click something to go to it?

  12. I'm betting they offered you Acela Club seats or restaurant ledge seats, which is the Caps equivalent of the FedEx Field Club and Loge sections (quite expensive but the best way to jump the STH waitlist).

General admission Caps seats are sold out and with a reported renewal rate of 98%, my bet is it'll take a couple years to get your number called. Or one really bad season and maybe an Ovechkin injury to force all the newbie fans to jump off the bandwagon.

No it was definitely the GA seats. They wanted something like $500 down per seat then the ticket price. I couldn't afford that.

  13. I don't know much about their wait list. I some how was put on it, I assume from buying stuff before and I got a notice during last season I could buy season tickets. Thought it would have been longer than that. Either way I couldn't afford them, they want A LOT of money.

  14. Not totally unheard of. I personally never wanted to be upgraded to rows 1-15 in the UL. I just didn't see the advantage and didn't want to pay the extra money. Last year, I was offered a few different options to make that upgrade, but I declined. I was already in row 17 and didn't see the point in paying $300+ to move to row 14. Also, it seems a lot of people are getting the LL upgrades, creating a lot of holes in rows 1-15.

I understand that. My father is getting older (but likes the UL) so with the escalators we decided to get Rows 1-15 so it's not so hard on his knees. I know some rows can be bad because of the glass. Think it was like rows 6-9 or something along that line. I'd have to check Mark the Homers thread again.

It is unusual compared to previous years. But this is an unusual year with the lockout and uncertainty about an NFL season. Based on messages on this site alone, a lot of fans just refused to pay money for tickets with no assurance of a season of games to watch. Combine that with a general lower demand for Skins season tickets over the last 3-4 years and a recession that is still going on no matter what Washington politicians say, and there are just a lot more seats available than there were 3-4 years ago.

My family has been waiting a long time to get season tickets. We were offered them the year the stadium opened, but couldn't afford them then. This previous season was the 2nd time we were offered them so we decided not to sleep on them and grab them while we could. I figured the economy, the lack of good football and the lockout had a good deal with why I was able to get them, it's unfortunate for those who couldn't pay, but I'm happy I was able to get them.

  15. Well let me ask you guys. Is it weird then, as a first year season ticket holder I am being given rows 1-15? I would think that the people in the UL who want to move down from rows 29-16 would be done first before I was given my rows 1-15 seats. However I paid what equals out to be rows 1-15. Just curious.

  16. Happy to see everyone being upgraded. I would think in a week I should be seeing where my seats are, being I'm new and don't know. When you get your seats, does a section on the ticketmaster site show up with like "Your Seats" or something? Or did I need to go poking through to look for it?

  17. Yeah that would make sense, but the thing is this is my first year owning season tickets. From what I was told I can ONLY have gray parking, nothing else. IDK, weird. Maybe a lot didn't renew and I'm getting lucky.
