So Whitt may have to choose between coaching the cowboys' defense vs coaching our defense. What a tough decision that's gonna be!

Boring answer I know, but it all depends on who the OC is going to be and which players we draft. There could be some very different outcomes based on those variables alone.

I'm guessing that we have an average type first season (8-9, 9-8), which will be a big improvement on last season but will still feel kinda meh. Season two, who knows? I'm going to say for arguments sake that we win the SB!

To be fair, we're a 4-13 team. If he can get us to the playoffs I'd consider that a win (even if we do get obliterated by Green Bay).

So has it been established whether Johnson did actually want a HC job (but his demands were too high), or was he always going to stay with the Lions all along?

Edit: Well, it's all moot now I suppose. There's a new Dan in town. Not my first choice but I'm willing to give him a chance.

I've always thought that we should play to win every game and just let draft position take care of itself. I've slowly changed my mind over the last few weeks and am ready to cross over to the dark side.

I agree. He's still a very talented QB, but you get the feeling that their window of opportunity is starting to close.
