  1. Hurts and Prescott could  hardly be considered taking a risk based on draft position. One could make the argument that by being drafted later by teams that used their premium draft picks building their respective teams infrastructure, it was easier for them to succeed. The parts were already in place for sustainable success.  You could loose patience and knee jerk react ala Denver (bullet dodged) or the Rams (one and done) but I like what Ron and company have done remaking the roster. When they get their long term solution at QB they will be ready to roll for more than just now and be able to backfill the roster with young talent when we loose guys to free agency.

Identity smedentity.  Whatever we are for this year is this year and maybe next year.  The new owner’s people will dictate what our long term

    identity will be.

You might be right on this, but I would hedge on the side of the new owner having enough business acumen to understand that things around here are trending upward.

To blow it up right away would be Snyderish hubris.

How is the turnover worthy percentage calculated?   If he gets hit and throws an INT or near INT, does that go against him?

What about pass rush pressure generally vs no pressure?    Those bad passes can't be viewed the same.

There should be a lucky mf'er stat. Esoteric yes but I bet Taylor tops the list and that counts for something

Aa lot of people that dont like the wins, but instead take the naive Ron Rivera approach of being deluded that the team is better than it is.  Thats what lead to him blowing up the Oline, and later blowing up the DB core both of which were massive mistakes.

A lot of wishing for past failed QBs, that somehow even though they couldnt win, magically the QB you hated then you would love now.  The insanity is real, and these "fans" deserve every disappointment they have had over past years.

Man, imagine how good every QB would be if he didnt have to play in the actual games and just lived in your imaginary head or on paper.  But I have heard crazy rumors that you only get wins in the NFL for winning games...big if true.

OK - sounds good man !

    Enjoy the ride

  5. I feel you Zcommander, scramble drill, off his back foot, he got it in the general vicinity of Terry which is all that was needed.

Taylor is a lot like Sex Panther -  50% of the time, it works every time

You aren't going to convince any of the armchair analysts here that it was anything other than an awful pass thrown by a woeful QB that should be flipping burgers at Shake Shack instead of engineering two fourth quarter drives to win an NFL game.

Unfortunately we'll end up with a good enough record to ensure we can't get one in the draft. I guess we can hope that Howell ends up being a gem.

Maybe Howell can play but we will probably F him up good and his career will crash and burn.

We can always trade out of our draft position and get whatever QB we want. Granted we will be mortgaging a bunch of future 1sts but it can be done. See RGIII pick for reference.  We screw up first and second rounders all the time.

I doubt you can find a single player on the team that wants to be involved in "tanking"

You will only hear that from backseat GM's who have more likely than not, never competed in anything....ever.

Yeah we suck,  we aren't going anywhere but, that's the way it has been around here for the last two decades. Enjoy the win

  7. I'm 51 and a lifetime fan of The Washington Redskins.

I had missed less than 5 games since the time I was 10.

I became a season ticket holder when I was 30

Like many of you, I would enter each fall with my fandom reinvigorated, hoping for something to click. Something magical, in spite of the turd who owns the team. Can we get a poop emoji on the toolbar please so that we can just insert it when referencing DS ?

The past 20+ years has been mostly agony. There is a common denominator (Insert poop emoji)

Since the RONA' season when nobody could attend games I started doing stuff around the house and taping the game, or working in the garage and listening on the radio. Then I started playing golf in the morning and catching up when I got home. I slowly weened myself off of this insidious franchise and the literal S-storm of negativity that constantly surrounds it.

I gave up the tix after 20 years.

I still ingest a lot of the media about the team but I just don't care as much as I once did. I purposely avoid listening or reading anything Shehan or Loverro have to say. They just make it worse and they act like a couple of wussies with an axe to grind. I'm just not into the constant negativity. Galdi, Kiem, Bmitch, JP etc..give me the information I need without making me feel as though its criminal to still care about this team

I watch the games like a tourist. I bail when they suck and catch up on just how bad it was later.

I'm assured that I'm not going to miss anything of significance. It just ain't happening.

I feel bad for Ron, He seems like a good man and from all accounts a class act.

I feel bad for the players

I feel bad for the staff at Redskins Park

I feel bad for all of us
