He was never America's dad but he did donate a lot to causes and stuff.  He was viewed as a philanthropist of sorts.  Cosby had a different platform being able to be in America's living room.

But if either one of them serve time, I wonder if it's going to be in federal pound me in the ass prison or white collar resort prison.  Either way, I hope both of them serve time.

Not to highjack the thread, but nice "Office Space" reference!

and if you paid them or a intermediary for the information?....what then

So you're making the distinction between donating and contributing vs paying for it?  It seems to me that they are still trying to influence an election as a foreign national and if you paid for it, then you are complicit.

But, I am in no way an attorney or anything, so take all of that with a grain of salt.

    Actually it does matter-

A foreign national shall not, directly or indirectly, make a contribution or a donation of money or other thing of value, or expressly or impliedly promise to make a contribution or a donation, in connection with any Federal, State, or local election.

    11 CFR 110.20 - Prohibition on contributions, donations, expenditures, independent expenditures, and disbursements by foreign nationals (52 U.S.C. 30121, 36 U.S.C. 510)

  4. Well since you asked: (and this isn't a smart-aleck answer),

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
    creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
    born of the Virgin Mary,
    suffered under Pontius Pilate,
    was crucified, died, and was buried;
    he descended to the dead.
    On the third day he rose again;
    he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church, (note the lowercase "c")
    the communion of saints,
    the forgiveness of sins,
    the resurrection of the body,
    and the life everlasting.

I wiil tell you that nowhere in there does it mention us judging someone based on what they look like, who they love, etc. and if someone tells you otherwise, they're selling what I ain't buying.

Before the memo was released, I watched Iowa Rep. Steve King tell Chris Cuomo "this is earthshaking and it does go deeper than Watergate."

Sean Hannity had the hype machine in Hyperventilation Mode.  These are direct quotes.  He said it was going to be "Watergate times a thousand,"  that it would be "Watergate on steroids and human growth hormones at levels that would kill a the average person," that it would make "Watergate look like a parking ticket,"  that it would "make Watergate like stealing a Snickers bar."

I don't iknow if these ****ers believed their own bull****, or if they figured they would go all-in on the rhetoric and the accolytes would just blindly follow, but man oh man did their comical oversell make them look extra stupid.

Hannity also said, "this is the worst civil rights violation in my lifetime".  I guess he forgot he was alive in the 60's?

Increasing the standard deduction is a good thing for lower income taxpayers. Personally I think we'd be better off eliminating nearly every itemized deduction, as these disproportionately benefit the rich, but increasing the standard deduction will help people.

The problem is that increasing the standard deduction is decreasing gov't revenue. Not a problem if that's offset somehow, but predictably the top marginal rate is lowered (and I really doubt there will be cost cutting as an offset).

This is better than the old GOP plan of "**** it, just cut taxes for rich people and see what happens." Not significantly, but better than I would have expected.

I also agree that increasing the standard deduction is a good thing, especially for me since I don't have a mortgage (one of the biggest itemized deductions), but I believe that increasing it will lead to a decrease in charitable giving.  While we would like to think that people are generally altruistic, a lot of times it's because they can take a deduction.  If the standard is increased, people wouldn't need to donate to write it off and contributions could go down.

  7. Kyle Shanahan is go My to be a HC next year. My bet would be in Tenn, though I could see him In Miami as well.

With the number of openings, he's going to get a bunch of interviews...

I've heard this a lot and I don't understand it.  He has not done a good job with the play calling down in Atlanta as their OC.  He doesn't get Roddy White involved, and goes away from the run game when it's working.  I know some Atlanta fans that would be very happy if he was a HC next year.

  8.

Conrad Hopper, 17, who deputies said appeared be in the throes of "excited delirium," now faces a host of charges after he fought with deputies while wielding a "large clock, which had numerous sharp utensils protruding from its entire border," according to a Sheriff's Office incident report. One deputy suffered a fractured arm.

Remember kids, that's clock with an "L".  Although, the other way would ramp up the weird factor of the story by a factor of 100.

  9. That's a wushu saber, just for show. They're flimsy and you'd have a hard time hurting someone with one of those.

The swords they use for wushu are again for show and flimsy. If you use the real sword, as I do for my tai chi they are firmer, but still flexible as they were designed when warriors wore plated armor and were designed to bend when hitting the armor so they would go under the plates then you would twist the sword and it would slice them up under their armor.

Thanks for the info-she still looked pretty cool in the video.

  10. Sorry I don't have a picture, but here is the story:

HuffPost Crime:Priscilla Dang, Martial Arts Expert, Lays Down The Law After Teenager Gropes Her On A Jog

Unfortunately for the alleged gropers, the 23-year-old woman has taken kung-fu lessons since she was 5. Her family owns the Summit Wushu Academy, an Oregon martial arts studio.

She instantly pushed one of the teenagers to the ground and made him apologize. When the second teenager called her a derogatory term, Dang says she snapped, hitting him in the face several times while simultaneously dodging his punches. According to The Columbian, when he pulled out a knife she used his bike as a shield until a passerby showed up and called 911

If you watch the video, you'll see the sword she trains with-holy cow!
