Hey, I never got invited to that! There's that communication problem again.

Dave was in Section 238 behind me.....

We were there for the dinner and it was OK not great.  Think they might have served steak even and it was OK.  Nice that they offered this for the fan captains.

Yep to 238 and probably could have kept moving toward the 50 the way the cancellations are going this year.  Nice job getting to the 40 I think you posted.

It will all be about supply and demand.  The face value on the tickets will be irrelevant.

Yep, we couldn't even get $50 for our two LL seats w/green parking last year during the second half of the season for any game we couldn't make.  Didn't matter the ticket face value.

Was almost regretting our decision not to renew this year after the draft and the buzz of having a good defense and running game but after all the injuries since camp opened that feeling is way past and glad I'm still out especially with the kneeling going on again.  NFL needs to keep politics out of the game regardless of your side.

nor am I going to migrate to VA if that's what they decide to do.

Not trying to pick on you but I never felt like I was migrating to MD for games since I'm coming from VA.

It was definitely a long ass ride home after a loss but the trip was OK on Sunday's.  Now if you gotta deal with rush hour because of MNF then yeah bring a tent.

Ticket office told me today that If you dont have anything by Monday call. They are still getting packages out today and tomorrow. So either this week or Monday and if not call.

Ticket office is still probably in denial that people like me that canceled this year will come back at the last minute so I'm sure they are dragging their feet to move on from us.

The ticket office ****ed up. They sent me tickets for section 224 when I upgraded and paid extra for section 220. Arrrgggghh. ****ers. Now I gotta call on Monday. morons.

Good luck with that and sure hope they get that resolved properly.  Sure would suck at the first home game finding someone sitting in your new seats with the same tix.

  6. We're out as season ticket holders until the product becomes better and the NFL remove politics from the game.  Even spent big bucks to go through club level first for a couple of years so we could jump down into the lower level.  Figured the tix would stay in the family forever but gave them up this year.  The product was already bad, front office turmoil, and then the kneeling during the anthem was the final straw.

Now I'm starting to receive notices from the FO that it's not too late to renew.  Maybe we will once they stop the all the crap.

Tell me, how does being signed to a multi-year contract make a guy a better QB? And while I get what you are trying to say about a Great QB making his WR's better, Alex Smith, on his best day, is not a great QB. He is not going to elevate the play of our WR's. So, again, how does this make our WR's better?

I don't think I said it makes him a better QB because he has a contract.  I said it gives him stability.

Just my opinion and I'm not to get in any more back in forth trying to prove it to you either.  Enjoy!

I'm interested in what you think Alex Smith will do to make this a better unit.

I really wanted to sign Kirk a couple of years ago but we know how that all turned out.  The price would have been right and he would have bonded more with his teammates.  Leadership has been lacking at our QB position for a while now and it wasn't all Kirk's problem either.  Management screwed that up when they did't sign him long term.  Yearly contracts have no advantage in my opinion unless it is only used once in a put up or shut up one year deal type contract.  Can't keep franchising the same player.

Back to the point.  Everyone knows Alex is the starter for 2-3 years so you have that stability now.  This puts him and our WR's in a better position to succeed.

The other thing I'm reading is that Alex is making it a point to move around in team meetings so he can get to know all the players.  I don't think talent wise Kirk is any better than Alex so I see no reason why Alex can't put up Kirk number in this offense.

The past does not dictate the future, but it is a good way of predicting it. Also, it's possible that in a different circumstance, players can be worse, not better. I don't see a number 1 receiver on this team. I don't even see a good #2 receiver on the team. You MIGHT have a guy that can grow into that role, but we don't have one that has come anywere close to it yet.

Let's be honest, If we signed Dez Bryant tomorrow, he's head and shoulders above everyone else on the team. And he's not really a #1 WR anymore. I don't know if anyone on our squad is a top 50 WR, and to be blunt, we ought to have at least 1 on our team. The only way you can consider anyone really being dynamic at the position is adding TE, because we have both Davis and Reed, and both are probably better and more dangerous than any of our WRs. Loosing both Jackson and Garcon was big. Not bothering to really try to replace what they bring to the table was bigger. Richardson MIGHT become a poor man's DJ, but he's not close to that yet. No one on this team brings what Garcon brought. The only real hope is for Reed to stay healthy (cross your fingers), because he's the only receiving threat we have. Heck, I'd say that Chris Thompson is a bigger threat than our WR's right now. No, if we do damage in the passing game, it's probably not going to be from this WR group, it's going to have to be from the TE's or Thompson.

I'm willing to wait a year and see what Alex Smith brings to our offense before I agree with you about our WR's potential.  For some reason I'm drinking the Alex Smith kool-aid and it taste good.

What would you recommend? I understand some people dont like to stand during the game, but then again many people prefer to stand. If I was told I had to sit the entire game, I'd just stay home. The only solution I could think of is to designate certain sections as sitting only. But that would be difficult to regulate. Especially as the lower you get in the LL sections, the harder it is to see over the players on the sidelines. Other than that, I'm not sure what the new COO could do to address this issue.

Fans should only stand during the big plays like 3rd and longs and goal line stands.  Please sit for most everything else.  Took my elderly father to a game a few years ago when we were in the 100's on the home side.  By the end of the first quarter he could not stand anymore so we sat there staring at everyone's backs the rest of the game.  After that year we relocated our seats to the 200's which most folks like to sit when it's not a big play.

Yep, section 238 rows 4 and 5 are under cover. That's my old section.

We didn't renew our two tix in 238 row 4 so those are probably mine although I just got another email that it's not too late to renew.

Great seats, under cover, hardly any standing, just not a good product to own anymore IMO.  I'll be able to low ball all of you now when you try to sell yours :)

  12. In past years all these cancellations were music to my ears since that meant we were moving closer to the 50.  Not this year since we are out too.

When I can't even get half price for the last two games last year and the only bites were for my parking pass I'm out.  In the past we were always able to get full price when we couldn't make one.

Why would i want to give something to my children that has 0 value?  I can enjoy teh redskins in many other ways and i am not giving them a finiancial burden that doesn't even match the value provided.

That's the difference I guess then.  You feel they have 0 value and a while ago I thought they had great value hence my paying club level prices for three years just to get good seats in the lower level.  I have $10K's into my 15 years of owning.  Sounds like value I might want to pass on to my kids.

Now given how I feel about them today I would tend to agree that their value is pretty much 0.  The problem is I'm already vested so it is a tough decision because of that.

I got an email to do a season ticket holder survey.  A lot of the questions were on a scale of 1 -10 w/ 1 = absolutely not and 10 - absolutely yes

One question asked if you would recommend Redskins season tickets to a friend.  I gave this a 1.

Asked if I would renew next year:  4 ...I've been a STH since 1999...currently in section 401.

My brother has seats in sect 124, that have been in our family since the 1980's (long story on this), but he wants to find someone else to take them next year and probably beyond that. We are both aware that a new stadium will likely come with a rather hefty PSL for the ones in 124, so now might be the time to just let them go.

We've had our tickets for 15 years, went through the club level for a couple of years to get into the lower level.  Moved from the 100's back into the 200's so we could sit most of the game.  Home side. So aside from being on the 50 which we we getting close to we have great seats.  I even thought I would pass the tix on to my kids somehow but with all the crap going on with the team, the kneeling, and possible PSL's with new stadium it's going to be tough to renew next year.

I tried to cancel the day all this Scot news broke and they would not refund the first installment that they already charged me.  Basically they were going to let me cancel and keep $1000 of my money.  I really hope most of the season ticket holders cancel.  This ownership does not deserve any loyal customers.

We thought about cancelling after making our first payment and figured I would lose that payment so we're standing pat for one more year.  One positive is that we might move closer to the 50 if there are a lot of non-renewals.

  16. You all may think it is silly but I actually stay at the top of the stadium.

Some of the best seats I have ever been in were UL around the 50 yard line.  Awesome view of the field.

Like my quick getaway from my LL section better though ;)

  17. So last night I got an email from the Redskins offering me to purchase additional seats that are near me. When we get such offers, they open the seat map on our account to purchase additional seats. There are two seats in front of me in row 2 on the aisle. My seats are in Section 237.

Hey neighbor, we're in 237 too.

Just checked my email but no such letter.  Guess I'll have to call the ticket office.

  18. Dave good evening....

I have 4 seats and for 4k for all of them it would be section 326 it 327...

    Thoughts ?

    Ron

Sounds like a sweet deal which is cheaper than what I paid. It's been a few years since we were in club but the prices must be dropping.
