I just turned on the Wizards/Cavs game, which is on the NBA TV channel.......who in the hell are the commentators, ****ing horrible.  It's almost like they want people to not watch a game on that channel.  I'd rather to listen to Michael Irvin for 3 hours instead of these clowns.

Pretty sure it's the Cleveland homers.. They'll be on Lebron's knob all night, even if he's not in the game.

Something that hasn't been discussed much is how the same GOPers who defended Kim Davis a few months back on the idea of religious freedom are now the same people who want to deny entry to the US for refugees primarily based on their religion.

 

I guess, currently the idea of freedom of religion for the powers that be in the GOP only apply for Christians and some Jews?

I think it's pretty much any religion that's not affiliated with cutting off heads and blowing stuff up in populated places..

Fair enough, except that the NRA actively works to limit the capabilities of the agencies responsible for enforcement.

LoL. The NRA is making it hard to prosecute violent felons? I think not.. Im pretty sure what they did was push a ban on "research" that was funded by tax payer dollars, by a liberal anti gun cabinet.. (ie: don't waste tax payer dollars researching a biased agenda.. Use your own/Bloomberg money for that stuff)

(Fly ball!!) I've just never met a single psycho or criminal who's willing to follow any law, much less more restrictive gun laws.. It's something the NRA preaches and they don't need to brainwash me to get me to agree.. It's basic common sense imho..

Since the debate went from mass shootings to basic gun violence (Since, afaik, there's never been a case where a good guy with a gun made a MASS shooting worse?) then they should start by enforcing the laws that are already on the books.. The Mills case, where the guy buys dozens of guns with fake ID and sells them to felons.. He pleads guilty to 1 (ONE) count and is sentenced with probation?  Then there's the brilliant ideas of our government, like Fast and Furious.. That kinda stuff always helps ease gun violence..

These debates usually don't go well, so I've just been reading the last 2 days.. But something that I believe both sides should be able to get on board with, is holding the media responsible for sensationalizing the names/faces of these killers.. The Sheriff in Oregon said they didn't want to give his name or bring any attention to him, and as Im watching NBC's Lester Holt report on it, he reaffirms the Sheriffs request, and the very next sentence is the killers full name and a picture posted of him taking up 2/3 of the tv screen.. IMO, the act of killing people is just a part of these psycho's agenda. The fame and notoriety play a big part too.. That's something we could take away, if we wanted to..

As for sensible gun laws, Im a CCW holder and all for it. Problem is, to date no one has presented any such thing.. These bills are labeled as "sensible" and as soon as you start reading the details you see there's 1 thing that is sensible and about 10 that totally kill any chance of it actually passing..

Someone asked about a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy.. It happens more than some think. Google "Good guy with a  gun".. I'll admit, I didn't read all the stories, I don't need to be convinced. But it happens, you just don't hear about it much because there's no major sensationalism for the media to exploit..

I'd be happy to pay for it personally, I just refuse to get DirecTV. The NFL is way behind the other major sports when it comes to online streaming.

Then get it! Just call DTV and tell them you "can't" subscribe to their service because your appt complex (or similar) doesnt allow satellite dishes.. Then ask if you can still get the ticket "to go", and you'll be able to get it streamed to your PC or phone, for the sunday ticket price.. But the only way they'll just do the Sunday Ticket To Go is if you "can't" get DirectTV for some reason.. Just be creative!

Not my stream, just a "Veetle" link I found.. There (Veetle) streams are just about always excellent, HD quality.. If you dont have a solid connection though, sometimes it'll stutter. (so I hear?) But if you have broadband you should be good to go.. Just save "Veetle" as a "Favorite" and you can go back and find a link each week.. Sometimes ya have to wait till the game starts though, before its up.. Today it was up early.. But anyway, rock on!! Lets skin us some lions!!! :point2sky

Wonder if the game not selling out in Oakland is why the threads keep dying?? After 5 mins or so it'll come back for about 5 mins then die again.. HELP!!!

I tried that P2P networking link and it's more trouble than it's worth I think.. I finally got the software installed and got the link trying to open in, and it stuck "buffering" for 10 minutes now.. Plus theres some chinees picture on the tube, so who knows what language it'll be in if it ever does show up.. On to plan b....

Im just getting a big "X" on the screen at ATDHE.NET.. The justin.tv feed froze at halftime.. Anyone got anything else? Thanks!
