  1. I'd set up a foundation. Try to live on "a bit" and give as much of the annual earnings away. Beach house, def. Mountain house, def. Set-up a soccer club that would find the talent in my city that can't afford to pay thousands of bucks a year to play club soccer. I'd just fix up my house but I don't really want all that **** like planes, art (maybe art), or yachts.

Dont have any direct experience with the GMC but they seem pretty solid generally…just a Chevy Equinox with some extra fancy bits, I guess.

Not a big fan of what Nissan has been putting out there recently.  Serious cash flow problems have put them and Infiniti several years behind their competition.

The Carlos Gohsn saga is/was crazy.

I guess we should just abolish the FDA then...

OK lawmaker pushes to make unproven COVID treatments accessible despite doctor's warnings

A state senator from Broken Arrow is pushing to make unproven COVID-19 treatments available over the counter.

Sen. Nathan Dahm told NewsChannel 8 he's heard from several of his constituents that their prescriptions of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin were not being filled.

The FDA has warned against the use of the drugs to treat COVID-19, but Dahm said Oklahoman's have the right to choose how to manage their own health.

"Yes, I believe that the people of Oklahoma should have a choice and be able to make their healthcare decisions without big pharma or government bureaucrats a thousand miles away determining the sole method by which they can have those choices," he said.

Dahm's bill would give Oklahomans the choice to buy the drugs over the counter.

It's an option Dr. Dale Bratzler with OU Health doesn't think is necessary.

"I certainly at this point in time, do not think we need to put ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine available over the counter for COVID-19," he said. "I'm not aware of any evidence strong, good randomized clinical trials that showed that it makes any difference in either preventing or treating the disease."

Come join me. Haven't been a fan for years. I just stick around here 'cause I enjoy y'all.

Personally, I thought that leaked DC Nike shirt was dope.

And it goes without saying that Commanders was way down my preferred list. I was Team Red Wolves all the way..but I understand and accept that I don't always get what I want out of this franchise.

Like a starting legit NFL caliber young QB.

What about young hot shot coordinators that walk out the door and blow the league up?

My man ✊🏾.  This is where I'm at as well. Ride or die.  The memories of watching the 87 & 91 ships are just too magical for me to ever let go, despite 29 years of heartache and pain.  I'm a lifer.

I loaded up first thing this morning, bought the "DC" Tshirts in both colors, a few hats, even got my son some stuff.  **** it.

Did you get the limited edition Nike foamposites in Burgundy or Gold? or Both?

So, she's selling fake vaccine cards, but also obtaining vaccines?  Having trouble figuring this out.

Maybe the state database needs lot numbers, and they were stealing the vaccines so they could use the real lot numbers on the fake database entries?  Use a real lot number on the card, and just throw out the vaccine?

Wondering how many of the customers for the fake cards were cops.

Or sell those lots in the black market? Or is that too risky.

Guilty, but I don't see a problem with "no problem".  I'll normally use it if I feel a "thank you" is not necessary.

WhenI waited tables at a fancy hotel in college, our training told us to say “my pleasure”.

They said: You don’t want to conjure up ideas of “problems”. You want to leave them with the idea of pleasure.

I would lock eyes and do a longer than comfortable pause after “pleasure” without breaking gaze. THAT, awkward/uncomfortable feeling is what I left them with. Because I’m no ones dancing monkey.

Is COVID retreating in the U.S.? Data paints encouraging scenario

New coronavirus cases are falling in parts of the United States hit hardest by the fast-spreading Omicron variant, according to a Reuters analysis of public health data, offering an early indication the virus might once again be in retreat.

COVID-19 infections have decreased in 19 states

    USA-OMICRON.jpg

Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, an analysis of the past week through Thursday compared with the prior week showed.

In the Northeast, which saw some of the highest case loads during the latest surge, infections are down 40% week-over-week.

"Certainly it bodes well for us in terms of the trajectory of Omicron," said Wafaa El-Sadr, a professor of epidemiology and medicine at Columbia University in New York City.

The drop was more modest at the national level with new reported COVID-19 cases down 7% during the same time period, according to the Reuters tally, as Omicron surges in some other parts of the country.

COVID-19 data often lag a few days behind the actual state of affairs.

In the Midwest, cases climbed 11% over the past seven days compared with the previous week, and were up 2% in the South, although the increase has slowed considerably in recent weeks. Western states saw a 3% week-over-week drop in new infections, according to the tally.

Nationally, new cases are averaging a still-high 738,000 a day, down from a peak of 805,000 on Jan. 15.

Deaths, which usually lag new infections by about three weeks and are occurring primarily among the unvaccinated, are averaging more than 2,000 a day, up 50% from the start of the month. That is highest average number of COVID-19 deaths since the end of September, but lower than the record of 3,300 lives lost a day in January 2021.

    Results, not excuses.

That's on Manchin and Sinema. Biden would be on a GOAT-esque path with voting rights and social infrastructure. Aghanistan withdrawal, American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure bill are some meaningful accomplishments for 4 years.

A lot of things he is blamed for are out of his control. Pandemic response, particularly the communication aspect is abysmal.

    Handling this Ukraine thing decently.

I had just (within like 2 months) graduated from college and was working at a golf course (with lots of open sight lines) when this was happening.  It was ****ing terrifying.

I am currently trying to get a guy out of prison under the same law that Mr. Malvo is seeking relief under, and I would be shocked if he got relief based on the terms of the law, at least not any time soon.

I also think his constitutional argument doesn't really hold water.  SCOTUS did not impose a categorical bar on life without parole sentences for juveniles, it said that the characteristics of youth must be considered and therefore "this harshest possible sentence will be uncommon."  Uncommon doesn't mean never.  SCOTUS case is Miller v. Alabama, here:  https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/11pdf/10-9646g2i8.pdf

I worked and walked to the Rockville metro station (above ground) while this happened. The first shootings weren't too far from work. I'd just graduated from school too a few months earlier. What a time.

Which is a mostly fair statement, but not in-line with the voting public perception - which is everything is costing me more, my wages haven't gone up, and it costs me an arm and a leg to fill my tank.  They don't really get into why that is, just whoever is in charge is making my life hell.

    Absolutely correct.

approval ratings are more of perception than reality, in this case.

up until December, surprisingly,  I thought he was on a GOAT path

    -CARES act

    -destroyed childhood poverty

    -meaningful climate change action

    -Infrastructure bill

-Social Infrastructure bill was in the works

    -ended a 20 year war

    -voting rights bill

and Just fir a finishing move, he was going to cancel $10-50k in student loans.

Social infrastructure and expanded child tax credit should still go through, albeit more modestly. Kinda agree with Manchin that couples making $400K prob shouldn’t get the ETC.

but voting rights, is dead. Not just the bill either.

But then again, this was year one. If economy booms with endemicity of COVID—🚀 🚀🚀🌓
