Yeah I bet they aren't getting paid as much as boxers and MMA is definitely drawing as much if not more viewers than boxing. It's certainly more entertaining.

Is it a combination of karate and jujitsu? We didn't do any ground fighting in my Shorin Ryu class, everything ended with the the body punch after the takedown. Did you do Pinon and Kihon katas?

I haven't heard of shorin ryu jujitsu. The shorin ryu I take is Okinawan karate. It began as Okinawa's rendition of the techniques practiced by Shaolin monks. If you know anyone who is a native speaker of Japanese, they have trouble with pronouncing their L's...Shaolin = Shorin

Anyone else train in MMA or any other kind of martial art? If so, where?

I'm a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a brown belt in Shorin Ryu, began training in MMA a couple months ago and have been watching UFC/Pride before they were mainstream

Well for starters, we did not have 1, not even one KO during that whole UFC PPV that I paid $50 (I think) for. Secondly, from what I recall Silva was never in the fight and Liddell dominated so it was never really that exciting. It was comparable to Jordan's second go around with the Wizards.

Why did Liddell and Silva bother fighting? I could have told you who was going to win seeing that Tito once beat him and could not beat Liddell no matter how many times he tried.
