The more I read about Air Raid QBs coming out of college, the more iffy I am. It literally does not require you to read the defense at all. The only consistently good QB from that offense has been Mahomes and he had the benefit of sitting and learning from Alex Smith.

A lot of people blamed Kyler for the failures of the Cardinals offensive system but I don't know

I really hope this is not the system Kingsbury runs here or that it and him have evolved by A LOT

then hopefully kingsberry learned his lesson and develops it further.  run the air raid with more motion disguise some looks.  from what i gather the airraid has bascilly the same spread look most of the time.  can that be disguised be pre snap motions?

  2. Been digesting this hire for the past few days and i think i like it.  For most of The man that shall not be named ownership he went for flash over substance.  Mary/spurrier/gibbs/ron.  This hire is substance over flash.  I like what i heard from Quinn during his presser being retrospective is a huge trait that leads to growth.  Constantly stating about staying in his lane forgot the exact quote.  His relationship with peters.  All giving me the warm and fuzzies.

  3. I got a big brother little brother vibe from quinn/peters at the presser.  Even a few jokes between the 2.  I'm liking the relationship.

Also Quin saying "keep the main thing the main thing" seems to be his mantra to keep him focused and stay in his lane.  Or i could be completely wrong about that i have been wrong in the past and will be again in the future.

Come actual practice time, he was probably a sleep deprived zombie babbling fool. Sometimes working hard means working hard to make up for lets just call it deficiencies.  I have no idea if he is a mastermind or not but anyone that works that hard and fails... not sure how much harder than can work to correct over working themselves.

The NHL hockey trade deadline used to feature a TON of trades and rumors were flying around. One year maybe 10 years ago I conducted an experiment and tweeted out a random low level random caps trade rumor and sure enough one of the big names in rumors Eklund ran with it. E1!

To be fair Eklund hasnt hit on a rumor in 20+ years.  Hes the most unreliable name in sports.

So Quinn was the pick without a definite OC choice among his staff list? Isn’t that odd? I kind of assumed a huge advantage that he had was that he’d already have a hell of a staff assembled via handshake deals. But we’re doing interviews for arguably the most important position on the staff

He probably had a list of perspective ideas as to who he wanted.  I heard in an interview i think it was Thomas Dimitrov with the junkies that Quinn is big with his staff meshing well and communicating well with the front office.  So could also be a meet and greet to find the perfect mix of colaboration

  6. Quinn by all accounts is a quality candidate and loved by the players and people in the know.  He's a leader of men from all accounts.  But he's being judged cause his aging quarterback started going down hill and his oc left for greener pastures.  People qlot smarter then me in football think he's a quality candidate so I'll trust the process.

Smart move by the ownership in interviewing Johnson and glen in Detroit. Don’t let them see how bad our facilities look.

Harris can easily work in that hes planning on new facilities and upgrades and ask Johnson what hed like to see in the facilities.  Let him feel like hes helping to shape this franchise in the longrun

Whats the downside to Johnson telling the Seahawks Ill interview with the Commanders first? They are going to yank his offer? Even if they try to grab him, he might as well wait and do both interviews.

hed be stupid no to do so.  Even if he wants Seattle over WSH he can use the WSH offer as leverage and get more from Seattle.  It would be stupid to take Seattle's offer without interviewing with the commanders even if Sea is his #1 choice.

  9. So i was bored last night and was on YouTube and found Inside the lion's den.  basically, a documentary about the lions off season.  If your bored and have the time give it a watch.  The synergy between Owner/GM/Coach is incredible and has my mouth watering that that can be built here.  Hamp is involved in everything but defers to Holmes and Campbell with football maters.  in the draft room but let Holmes do his thing.  Holmes conferring with Cambell and getting his opinion.  Its what ive dreamt of for years here.  Number one thing that should be considered is relationhip with Peters.  If Peters thinks he can't be on the same page as Johnson then move on to the next.  If its a 1A Johnson and 1B MacDonald and a better relationship was formed with MacDonald go with him.

    No.

Our potential future head coaches will be be coaching in the SuperBowl. Lions cs Ravens.

Atlanta is interviewing coaches left and right because while the owner probably wants BB, the front office doesn’t. They hope the owner becomes enamored with one of the candidates they are interviewing besides BB.  If BB gets hired , likely the front office gets dismissed or neutered so they have no power.

No worry about Atlanta being a threat. The only real better option than us is San Diego since they have a qb in their prime and that looks to be Harbaugh.  Only Tepper’s money would deny us out top choice.

Looks like theyre backing off of johnson aswell.  could be truth to the rumors that Johnson is a done deal for the Commanders

It feels kind of odd to me that there were several reports narrowing our search down to two names and the second interviews haven't even occurred and we won't know until next week.

What if both these guys start receiving interest from multiple other teams that have had recent openings like the patriots and both decide they would like to go somewhere else?

If that scenario plays out (which I don't expect it to just contemplating worse case) suddenly our first class search for a new gm is going to look totally incompetent.

We'd have lots of egg on our face if that happens, let's hope this gets wrapped up quickly or there's already a handshake deal in place because I don't want this new regime starting off on the wrong foot.

  12. The fans are hungry for a positive news and steps in the right direction and this ownership group knows that.  If they agreed or have chosen they're guy which is either the best in class or 2nd in class the fans will be pumped.  theyll want to get the news out to prove to fans tetering on following the team again that they know what theyre doing.  Its not like when danny boy leaked fossils name and the fans nearly rioted.  Peters and Cunningham by all accounts are 1 and 2

Yeah Wednesday seems way too late.

I think something could get finalized today with possibly an announcement of Monday. They won't announce anything during the weekend I don't think.

maybe not but leaks will happen no way this stays quiet until the official announcement.

Doesn't matter still have to do the two interviews.  Didn't Dan Synder get a warning when he hired Rivera?  He thought because he hired Rivera, who was Hispanic, he didn't need to do a second interview with a minority candidate, which was incorrect.

From whats been posted it seems since it was in his contract it doesnt matter

Well aren't they already interviewing coaches before deciding on the FO?  They've probably already decided on who they want. Just a matter of paperwork and teams dropping from the paloffs.

do teams need to be eliminated to hire a GM?  a coach yes not sure on front office
