Eagles first drive is run, run, run. 2 QB runs, two passes. So much better than leaning on Sam so hard to start.

Turner would have called a better game.

Sams tough, but damn man. That's a lot of hits.

So just like the guy around here who has the schtick of constantly harping on Ron, your schtick has turned into the same with EB...fun times.

This is reminding me of the antonio gibson fumble in the preseason last year.

He had worked all offseason on his fumbling problem and he fumbled early in the preseason and the mob reacted the same way to him that they are to this.

It was cut him, trade him for a ham sandwich, bum can't hold onto the ball etc.

Turned out he had fixed that problem (not one fumble in 15 games) and the one in the preseason was just a fluke.

Chase's career has been a disappointment so far there's absolutely no doubt but have a little patience with this injury it absolutely could be just a fluke like gibson's fumble last year.

Obviously we all hope this is true. Hard to imagine ever getting the college Chase back after that nasty injury though..

What a disaster this is for him in his contract year.  Now on top of under performing he now is labeled as injury prone.

I hope he can find a way to play loose and "within the scheme" and have a great year. I'll be surpised if the things in bold don't at least weight him down mentally. Tough situation. Hoping for the best!

    Agreed.

But...if this is to happen, then the defense needs to do its part, too.  That includes showing up from the opening drive.  The other team almost always scores on their first possession, putting us behind.  The defense also needs to finally be consistent in the turnover category.  Great defenses get and force turnovers.  This defense has not done that as of yet.

The team as a whole has the "starts slow" stigma that we need to finally shake off. Fingers crossed for (truly) a new era in Washington.

Personnel guys-scouts recently did a rankings via ESPN of the best backs in the league.  They picked Chubb #1.

Chubb ran for 7.5 yards a carry against this defense for over 100 yards last season.

Watson's scrambles gave this defense fits last season.  Felt like some deja vu on Friday.

I think their offense looked good with Watson against our defense.  As one reporter said if the Browns had their full lineup in including Chubb, they probably wouldn't have been thwarted at the goal line.

But I don't care that much.  If you think their offense couldn't do much against our defense in that drive, cool.  to each their own.

I'm just assuming we'll continue to be a bit of a "bend, don't break" type of defense. One that will continually do "just enough" to keep us in games but won't actually be dominant in the truest sense of the word. It's frustrating when teams still march up and down the field on us, but we still seem to limit points scored.

Well you picked the best casino game out there. If all you do is play the pass and don't pass lines, and back them up then that is the best odds in any casino. It's something like 49.9% for you and 50.01% for the house. Indistinguishable difference and even odds unless you play 10,000 times. Long live craps! Especially if the table vibe is right, then it's just fun times for everyone! You can play and probably not lose money, then pickup some free ****tails (besides tipping the waiters)

    This guy craps
