Nobody is politicizing anything its making a point Tillman "Sacrificed everything" and Kaep made A SACRIFICE after garnering a 25 million net worth imo he should be thankful for the league and the fans that made it possible for him to make what he made in such a shorty period but thats not whats at play right now. Im a minority and I like i would hope most people would do is just follow cops orders if you are being arrested and are innocent nothing should happen to you just shut up and hire an attorney. I have no remorse for anyone whose running from police and gets shot at that point it would be at the officers discretion and i cant have an opinion on the matter since ive never been an officer of the law.

Im glad you don’t have a badge or gun.

He hasn’t sacrificed squat....Pat Tillman did, unless he puts on a blue uniform for a year than comes out with an unbiased opionion nothing he says or does has any merit imo.

Um....being blackballed in his profession for bringing AWARENESS to a huge problem plaguing minorities here in the states, is actually sacrifice.

And as it's been stated before, don't politicize Pat Tillman when that 10000% goes against the wishes of his family.

Last thing I'll say about Tillman...had you taken a little bit of time to read up on the man and his values, you'd know that his stance was most likely a lot different than yours.  You can stick to using his name, posting his pic, etc. to help whatever narrative you're trying to push, but fact of the matter is, it's completely off base.

OK, I don’t care about the whole anthem thing. But I have some issues with the ad campaign. It is claiming Kap is “sacrificing everything” for what he believes in. But Kap told GMs that he would stand for anthem if he got a job. So he didn’t really believe in something enough to truly sacrifice everything. That said, I hope Kap wins his case against the NFL.

I dont care who Nike signs. Kap has a right to kneel, or sit, or lie down during the anthem. As long as he doesn’t talk during the anthem. That **** drives me nuts lol.

He's blackballed by the league.  Debate his merits as a starter, sure...however, he's more than good enough to be on an NFL roster as a backup.  He did sacrifice everything.  When it's all said and done, this dude will be remembered in the same regard as Ali, etc.  This isn't hyperbole...dude not only talks the talk, but he walks it as well.

*Eric Reid is going down the same path right now as a guy who's good enough to be on a roster (probably start for a grip of teams,) but his outspoken nature concerning the hypocrisy of the NFL makes him a dude who is pretty much untouchable.

I think the EC teams are behind the Western teams.  I don't really know what to make of Kawhi any more.  And I think Houston got a lot weaker.  Losing Mbah a Moute and Ariza is going to make their defense a lot weaker.  Anderson and Melo are awful defenders.  Gerald Green isn't a very good defensive player.  Nene is ancient.  I look at that rotation and I don't like the 8 or 9 man rotation I see all that much.  CP3 and Tucker and Capela are the only real defenders.

OKC, on the other hand, looks like it has the potential to be the best defensive team in the NBA.  They look well balanced between shooters, creators, inside scorers, and defenders.  And they have a superstar PG to power the offense.  Westbrook is very reliable too.  He never misses time and never seems to take games off.  You know you're getting at least 7-8 VORP from him every season now.

I think OKC has something pretty special.  I definitely don't think they'll beat Golden State, but I think they might now be the second best team in the NBA.

Kobe has Wade on career achievement by a good bit.  Kobe won an MVP, won five titles to Wade's three, and played at a high level for much longer than Wade did.

Define high-level...he was a high-volume chucker when his career was winding down.

In the prime of both of their careers, I think an argument can be made that Wade was the better of the two.  Kobe has longevity and some of his accolades (all-defense, etc) were off of rep rather than merit based.

  5. Rivers/Rondo are two completely different players.  Rondo reinvented himself last year in NO, but Rivers, on this Wizards team, is a HUGE plus to the bench.  He's a combo guard capable of playing with either Wall or Beal when one is on the bench getting a breather.  Rondo is strictly a 1.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Might be one of the smartest guys in the league.  BBall IQ is off the charts, and from what I know of him that I've read, he's brilliant academically as well.

I agree with both of you. Otto... makes sense for the Wizards...but ... I think if Wall/Beal are on the table the Wizards fold for another day.

Lakers landed LeBron, Philly and Boston feel pretty good about their situations by losing LeBron as a foe.

I am curious to what Toronto is thinking of giving up for a rental. Depending on what it is, it could destroy what they have now.

This is a rare situation that I believe that the Wizards with Howard... look a lot more likely to break through. Philly still is growing, Boston is the most dangerous.

Even with the addition of Howard/Rivers, I still think the Wizards are, at best 4th in the East.  They're not better than Boston, Philly, or Toronto.  Adding Kawhi changes EVERYTHING.

*0% chance this happens, but it's still fun to speculate.

SA aint gonna want that contract for Otto tho

I think a lot of teams are hesitant because they know that Kawhi will be a rental.  Why give up controllable assets to SA for a guy who may walk at the end of the year?  Wizards can't be picky.  If there is a way for Ernie to get creative about making a trade without giving up either Wall or Beal, he needs to do it.  The thing about Kawhi, is unless you're in his inner-circle, you have no clue what his intentions are.  He's tight-lipped, as is his team.

A lot of good athletes struggle with the first pitch in fairness. If you didn't grow up throwing a baseball, it can be awkward.

Johnny Damon grew up throwing a baseball and it was awkward.  Probably the absolute worst arm I've ever seen in all my years watching baseball.

Also, Brown reminds me more of Evan Turner than anything.  That's good value at #15 if he stays the course.

I just don't understand why the pick was made. If they think they're close as they think they are, why the hell are they drafting project players?

You don't need a home run every draft, sometimes you just gotta grab some ballers.

Agreed.  It was a moronic pick, especially considering who was still available.  If I'm not mistaken, there is still a roster spot open on the final-15.  That could have easily been the 2nd round pick.
