There's a huge misconceptions about JDR being a good coach.

So, the history is clear. JDR is a 50/50 coach. One year he's good and then you can bet the farm he's wetting the bed the next. Good coaches consistently put together good results. JDR is consistently inconsistent, for going on two decades.

Uninventive, unoriginal, predictable, old school antiquated 50/50 coach.

Do me a favor and checkout Bill's winning percentage without Brady please.

FYI Cole Holcomb is slow AF - not Luke Kuechly. Decent LB'er that OC's fall in Love with every Sunday because he's dependable for 4-5 yds per play.

Comments like this are what make this board so difficult to read.

Cole ran a 4.48 40 with the highest marks for a LB in the three cone and broad jump.

His greatest asset his his speed/athleticism.  He definitely isn't "slow AF"

So I guess we will not be going after anyone if we are so broke?

Team isn’t broke, it just isn’t playing games with the cap yet, and that’s the right move.

This is the year they try and figure out QB. If they do it’s probably a playoff team. Then they start the cap games.  If they don’t they try again and cut Wentz to open up cap space next year.

Playing cap games to get yourself to mediocre turns you into the Cowboys or Vikings right now. Losing key pieces and having to hope rookies hit to make your team a wild card loser.

They need to let McKissic go.  There is little reason to have him back.  If they're serious about building around Wentz (which they have to at this point to even have a chance at respectability) then they have to understand his game.  I'm assuming they've done their homework on him and realize he isn't a check-down QB.  He rarely throws to his backs.  That's his history.  Use the money you'd have to pay McKissic and go and get some more WR weapons, which we desperately need.  Draft a WR in the first two rounds.  Get a real weapon.  We don't have nearly enough of those on this team.  True game-changers like Terry Mac.   He's our only one.  Maybe CS can help (if healthy )but Ron certainly didn't give him a ringing endorsement, Humphries was basically a no-show last year.  He added next to nothing.  Brown right now is a massive disappointment that shouldn't be counted on.  He needs time for serious development, which is fine, but there's no way the team should be counting on this guy right now.  And if one of those guys goes down, we're in dire straits at the position again.  Need another stud opposite Terry at the every least.

I’m questioning whether you’ve ever seen Wentz play football.

From college to the pros, Wentz’s favorite targets have been TE’s and RB’s.

Just saw that Jimmy Moreland is on injured reserve so we still have him.  How many games does he have to be out before he is eligible to return to play in games?

He did not make the original 53 so he is out for the year.

Forrest is eligible after three weeks because he made the roster, then was place one IR when Mayo was resigned.

We need help at LB.  If RR is satisfied with what we have....you fill in the blank.

Th base defense is going to be a 4-2 so there is no issue.

Bostic and Hudson are good backups, and Mayo is a ST demon.

Collins/Curl/McCain on the field at the same time is better than any LB that can be added.

We have 2 more cuts to make I believe. Hudson is a solid ST player so he's a no-brainer to me. Mayo and Norris is anyone's guess but my hunch is Mayo gets the spot.

Mayo is potentially the best ST player on the team. I see him as a lock.

I’m kinda old school and believe that our offense needs reps. I expect a sloppy start to the season. We shall see.

I’m not surprised that Heinicke isn’t playing. Gotta protect the franchise.

Luckily the opening opponent never played any of their main starters the entire preseason, so if your theory holds water they will be even sloppier.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Harrington

Drafted 3 times - offered 4 mill, 1.2 mill, up to 200K (edit: I'm mistaken, he was drafted 5 times)

    ended with:

Harrington was as of 2009 working for the local Costco store, in the tire department, earning $11.50 per hour

While Schroeder lost more money, 5.9 mill will get him a lot further than Costco.

Maybe it's a tie, but I think it's at least debatable.

What kind of ****hole Quarterback wears number 50?

I mean seriously, you're already the worst athlete on the field with a body by Krispy Kreme, and choose to wear 50?  Its going to be so delicous watching McCorkle flame out.

The team makes their rookie wear that number

I get what you're saying, but I think the team wants the 3rd safety to be out wider than in closer to the box.  Aligned over/near the TE in the slot or something like that.  That's the role of the Buffalo nickel right?  And it sounds like our defense wants the Buffalo Nickel to be the standard they feel most comfortable putting out there.

I'm not sure what you're getting at as you seem to be agreeing with me?

Unless Hudson has gotten bigger, he is too small to be a true MLB. At his size, he would get run over in the run game. He is one of many options the team has at that nickel LB/CB/S spot (McCain, Fuller, Hudson, Bostic, Curl, Collins and Moreland).

Yes.  Which goes even further into my overall point that the roster is looking more and more like the 4-2-5 will be the base defense.

  12. The more I keep thinking about it, the more I think the amount of safeties on this team is intentional and shows that the 4-2-5 scheme will be the base defense.  Keep an extra safety over a LB.  It also makes sense why more fit the SS mold as two will be on the field in base.

It also makes sense why Hudson is now listed as a MLB behind Davis as that will be the position he plays in the 4-2-5.

That doesn't sound right.  Unless you're including his stint with the Browns?

The Patriots gave him more power and ability to mold the organization.  That's why he ditched the Jets job immediately for the Patriots.

Before 2020, the Bill's Patriots without Brady had the second best W/L ratio out of any franchise over that span.  So it wasn't just Brady.

Yes that is the entirety of his NFL Head Coaching career without Tom Brady, including his losing season last year.

Jamal Adams is clearly the best SS, but as far as an inbox safety if he can return to 2016 form, he's certainly in the conversation. He was All Pro. 3x probowler and JDRs system is designed for him to really excel.

I know it's been mentioned that Collins dropped weight, but has anyone seen actual numbers compared to his weight last year?
