  1. Beer week in Baltimore starts up in a week. http://www.baltimorebeerweek.com/
  2. Cracked open a couple Bigfoots tonight. I haven't had a Barleywine that I like more so far.
  3. Wish that I bought another bottle of this when I was in Hilton Head. I had never had it before and it was it was really good.
  4. Big fan of Sierra Nevada. They make a number of beers that are really good. Torpedo is a really good IPA. I am not a huge porter fan but I really like theirs. Their seasonals are really good. I try to pick up a 6 of Tumbler and Celebration when they come out. I definitely look forward to Big Foot being released every year.
  5. I just picked up Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel, 17th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA and Galaxy Hopped Barleywine Ale (Brothers' Reserve Series) when I was in Hilton Head this week. They have this place call Growlers there that has a pretty good selection. I haven't tried them yet but I kind of just picked a couple beers that I have never tried.
  6. Heroes in Annapolis has 40-50 beers on tap and is a firemen/policemen supporting bar.
  7. There is a Belgium Beer Fest all weekend at Max's.
  8. Picked up a 6 pack of Bigfoot. Sierra Nevada makes some good beer.
  9. How Beer Saved the World is on Discovery channel. It is almost over but the re-showing is at 11.
  10. Quarter end is always crazy. I picked up Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada Porter and Loose Cannon Hop 3 IPA at the liquor store after work. It will be a good 4th of July weekend.
  11. Drinking some Loose Cannon Hop3 IPA right now. Great way to finish a crazy work week.
  12. Didn't it use to be a little higher than that?
  13. I went to the Wine in the Woods yesterday and after every wine I tried all I could think is that I could really go for a beer. I came home and opened a Sierra Nevada Porter. Wine just can't touch a good beer.
  14. Sounds good. A great combo is Steak and Bigfoot when it is available.
  15. I drink mostly out of pints, but if I feel like trying something in different glasses, I go to places like Max's.
  16. That is crazy. Did the taxi driver take the fastest route? You have to be careful with the taxi drivers in Baltimore. I have had to correct a couple of them before. The taxi ride isn't bad from my house since I live right off of Eastern Ave.
  17. Max's is awesome. It is trouble though. I keep seeing beers that I want to try and it gets expensive. I live in Canton, so it is a short taxi ride to get there.
  18. I went to some BBQ fest at the brewery last year. It was a good time.
  19. I am a fan, but I like most of the beers by Flying Dog.
  20. I usually keep an eye out for it. I didn't know that it had come out so I was happy to see it at the liquor store. I bet any beer store that has a large variety will have it. Flying Dog has a good barleywine also.
  21. I would have to try Hopocalypse again since it has been a while. I liked both beers but from what I remember, Hopocalypse is a lot less complex than 60 minute IPA.
  22. I got it at a liquor store in Baltimore called The Loading Dock.
  23. I have had it. It was a long time ago. It was pretty good, but from what I remember the hops level was definitely lower than expected.
  24. Like most barley wines, it is around 10% or so. If you like hops, you should really like Bigfoot. It is definitely heavier than most beers. It is like a brown/red color. It has a good combination of sweet and hops. It has a sweet first taste with a bitter after taste. It is around $10-11 for a 6 pack.
  25. The 2010 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot was released recently. I just bought a 6 pack.
