Mark Hunt is saying he's up to fight JDS in place of Overeem. I kind of hope they throw him in there.

Also, not sure if you guys have seen this but there's some betting going on between Alan Belcher, Michael Bisping and some Bengals backup DE named Wallace Gilberry, where Gilberry is putting a car on the line if Bisping can KO Belcher. Bisping and his (douchey) friend put out a response video too lol:

Stefan Struve tweeted this x-ray of his skull among other things...you can really see where his jaw is broken and his cheekbone is jacked up:
Thanks for the support everybody, I wanted Herb to take the tooth out of my cheek and continue but then it turned out my jaw was broken.45 minutes to the hospital without painkillers.. Man, please choke me out.. Jaw is hurting like crazy..Wired my jaw in the hospital here and flying back tomorrow to get surgery as soon as we land monday in Holland, thnx for the great careCouldn't bring the energy I normally can else I would have definitely moved away from those bombs lol My legs felt like they were 300 pndsLook at that cheekbone!! :0 @ufc pic.twitter.com/0At9K11nN5I ment to say, look at that jaw! Gotta respect Stann as well. His gameplan probably wasn't the smartest, but there were a couple of Frye/Takiyama moments in that fight and Stann didn't take a step back.
Yeah there's just something about fighting in Japan. Both guys came to fight hard for the fans and they did. I haven't watched the post-fight presser but I'm guessing that Dana probably doesn't have anything against Stann after that fight. The way he lost was probably better than a bad win.

UFC FOTY so far? From the walkout to the knockout, classic stuff.
I'd definitely say FOTY candidate so far. The first round alone was the best round I've seen in MMA in a long time.

If anyone's watching the prelims, that Swanson/Porier fight was great.

Ronda Rousey Action Figure to be Released in April 2013On the heels of her first stunning UFC title defense against Liz Carmouche, Ronda Rousey’s meteoric rise as public icon just broke the proverbial glass ceiling; she will now have her own custom-designed Action Figure.
But it won’t be coming from where you might expect; this is a Cinderella story almost as good as that of Ronda herself.
Disappointed with the lower-than-expected revenues from the existing line of action figure collectables from JAKKS, Zuffa had recently ceased negotiations with the company, looking for a fresh angle to try to improve the potential but failing merchandising wing of the brand.
Of all the giants in the toy business trying to get the new contract however, the recipient was a shocking underdog: GDCMMA, an emerging MMA fan crew that had never even produced a real action figure before, and an obscure online photoshopper known as ‘Masato Toys’.
Details of how this came about is cited below, but for now here is a freshly released image of the first prototype design of none other than the exploding superstar ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey.
The toy is expected for full release in early April.

He also put an epic beatdown on Jon Fitch.

Sounds like the Nick Diaz thing is smoothed over now:
30:55 and 20:44 Dana talks about it...sounds like Nate is the one pulling shenanigans now.
-
Dammit man, if that fight falls through again, I'm going to be so let down, and I totally agree re: cyborg/Tito, they're just all talk right now imo
-
If a neck crank is across your mouth and your mouth guard is out, then the person applying the crank is forcing the bite on their own forearm. I haven't seen a replay though so I can't say anything for sure.
-
Cyborg (without steroids) isn't "demolishing" an Olympic-medal-caliber judoka with even basic standup
-
Shes a very skilled fighter but Cyborg would demolish her.
Not if Ronda can grab her.
-
Didn't see Ronda tap, but can't rewind...can anyone confirm? Looked clean to me, either way that was a great fight and she's a badass *****.

I'm traveling this weekend, but here's my quick picks:
-rousey by Armbar
-machida by decision
-faber by decision
Wish I was home watching this one

That King Mo knockout was on the Sportscenter top 10 this morning.

Not super-excited about that but we'll see how it goes.

I've seen a bunch of BJJ ones too, but they're not as good as these two

At this point I would honestly rather see Anderson fight Hector Lombard than Chris Weidman.

I wonder if Erick Silva is available for the Ellenberger fight?

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/2/18/4002794/ufc-158-rory-macdonald-out-condit-mma-news
Rory MacDonald out of UFC 158, no replacement yetRory MacDonald has been forced out of his UFC 158 rematch with Carlos Condit due to an injury, according to a report.
According to sources close to the fight, MacDonald suffered an undisclosed injury in training, which has forced him to withdraw from his fight against Condit at UFC 158.
No opponent has been signed to replace MacDonald against Condit next month. As of now, he is still expected to compete on the card.
MacDonald (14-1) was looking to avenge the only loss of his career in a rematch with Condit (28-6). It remains to be seen if the UFC will decide to break up the third big welterweight fight on the card, Jake Ellenberger vs. Johny Hendricks, and promote one of them into the fight with Condit or if they will bring in someone who wasn't originally scheduled for the card. UFC president Dana White stated that the card was welterweight-heavy in case something like this happened, but we'll have to wait and see.
The card will be main-evented by a UFC welterweight title fight between champion Georges St. Pierre and former Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz.

That Te Huna entrance was classic. If you come out like that you'd better win your fight.
Love seeing Gunnar Nelson win too. Now that Demian Maia is at 170, I'd pay good money to see them fight each other.

I always loved the way Royce punched his way in to position. He'd batter peoples' ribs until they gave him an easy pass or transition. His fights in the gym are awesome to watch. Dropping 12 to 6 elbows on to the small of the back, gaining high mount and making people surrender, he was a frightening mother****er. His demeanor and physique are still difficult to take seriously, but the guy was a mean mother****er. Congrats on meeting one bad mofo, QBK. And on the blue belt...how long you had that? I really need to get my head out of my ass and learn some jiu jitsu.
Thanks man, yeah Royce was a really cool dude too. He would give us a technique then walk around and help each of us personally if he saw us miss a detail here or there and he stuck around and did pics/autographs and just talked to people for a while.
I've had my blue for a year now. Royce actually gave me my first stripe on it the other night. I moved from DC to NC & switched schools in October. My old school in DC didn't do stripes but this one does, so it was pretty cool to have my first stripe come from him.
