  1. The outcome of that fight is predicated on whether or not Barnett can get Cormier down, which I don't think he can.
  2. Haha, you don't want to jump off the train right when we finally get a QB.
  3. It sounds crazy but I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Hunt fight JDS.
  4. Half court alley-oop from the shotgun formation:
  5. This is still true. As much as he's declined, he is still an MMA legend. I got into MMA in the early days of Pride and some of my best memories are of Rampage ****ing people up and getting ****ed up by people in all-out wars. He's a HOFer for sure. Also, Mark Hunt vs Stefan Struve has been added to UFC 146...the entire main card is made up of HWs now: http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news/391116/UFC-146-First-all-heavyweight-UFC-main-card/ Pretty badass card. They're going to have to reinforce the bottom of the ring to make sure it doesn't cave in before the main event. If no one gets injured :fingersx: May is going to be a great month of fights between this and UFC on Fox 3...speaking of which, they should move Pat Barry/Lavar Johnson to the 146 card...
  6. Don't be ridiculous. Rampage never throws kicks.
  7. http://mmajunkie.com/news/27828/dana-white-says-quinton-rampage-jackson-will-fight-shogun-rua-then-leave-ufc.mma
  8. Wikipedia says that Cro cop won via UD...I was out & about and missed the live stream.
  9. TUF Live was pretty good last night, lots of finishes. I wish the guy that hurt his foot would've made it in though, he looked very slick on the ground. ---------- Post added March-10th-2012 at 11:45 AM ---------- BTW Cro Cop vs Ray Sefo happens today at 1pm.. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/3/9/2857134/cro-cop-final-fight-preview-mirko-cro-cop-vs-ray-sefo-kickboxing-live-stream Live stream should be here: http://www.fightnow.com/
  10. That's a nice HL, Bendo is the man. He got tapped the other day in an AZ grappling tourney. He was competing in the brown belt open division, keep in mind this was a week and a half after winning the UFC LW Championship from Frankie Edgar: Regardless of the outcome, the man is a competitor plain and simple.
  11. UFC 146 should be called "Heavyweight" Now we have: JDS vs. Overeem Mir vs. Velasquez Big Country vs Bigfoot in addition to a lot of other interesting bouts http://uk.ufc.com/news/ufc-146-fight-card-updates
  12. I'm not against the rematch, Edgar/Henderson I was a great fight. But I'd also kind of like to see Henderson avenge his loss to Pettis.
  13. I need to try that one. Lagunitas makes some excellent beers. I think I've reviewed it on here before but this might be my favorite current beer:
  14. Just saw this too, Lil Nog is out of his bout with Gustafsson, Thiago Silva is in: http://www.studiomma.com/articles/scoop-nogueira-out-main-event-ufc-sweden-thiago-silva
  15. I was going to say Merry Christmas to Mighty Mouse for the gift decision but it looks like it was actually a majority draw. MMA judging really is a joke. And talk about cutting it close for Kampmann.
  16. Nick the Face is famous on other forums for his MMA promo videos. He does it better than the guys actually working for the UFC IMO.
  17. A great grappling HL video of Bendo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azBTJMf8Dpk
  18. I'm late to the party, just saw the card yesterday as I was fighting off food poisoning on Saturday But damn it was a classic card from top to bottom. Ben Henderson looked like a champion in there against Edgar. I really do think that upkick at the end of Round 2 put Edgar on queer street and affected him for the rest of the fight. I don't think many other LWs could've eaten that kick and kept fighting as hard as Edgar did though. I do hope he stays at LW though, there are still a ton of exciting fights with him there and I think not having to cut a ton of weight helps with his style of fighting. Edgar is a beast and I think he'll be back in title contention very soon. I can't wait to see Bendo fight Anthony Pettis again. That is going to be another FOTN. I was sad to see Pettis drop Joe Lauzon like that because I'm a Lauzon fan, but Pettis throws kicks that are dangerous and beautiful at the same time. It's crazy to have two TKD fighters at the top of a division. MMA is really starting to become more diverse style-wise. I was also sad to see Rampage lose to Bader, but it's not like Rampage didn't try. IMO, he was more active than he's been in a while, throwing kicks, slamming his opponent, standing in front of him and trying to bang, etc. Rampage loves Japan and he did his best to put on a good show. How about Mark Hunt? He's on a 3-fight win streak and he looks a lot better than he did in Pride. His KO power is ridiculous and that counter that he dropped Kongo with earlier in the round was timed perfectly. I'd love to see him fight another kickboxer like Barry or Overeem. I'd even love to see how he fares against JDS with that steel chin and amazing KO power. The only fight I didn't necessarily agree with was the Shields/Akiyama fight. I had Akiyama winning rounds 1 & 2 and I also thought he should've lost a point in round 3 which would've made it a draw on my card. I'll have to go back and watch it again but I really hope Akiyama doesn't get cut. I also hope Okami doesn't get cut, I was sad to see him get finished in the last round after winning the first two.
