  1. I understand why they did it but it significantly weakens the Silva/Sonnen II card IMO...I was really looking forward to the card like it was.

btw, they should just put together Zombie vs. Koch and legitimize the next title shot

  2. Samuel Adams put out

a 12 pack of various IPAs, a few of which I've never seen before. The Grumpy Monk is a Belgian style IPA, the Whitewater IPA is wheat-based, and the Tasman Red had a beautiful color that reminded me a little bit of Pete's Wicked.

This bundle of IPAs was the perfect fridge filler for a weekend of grilling. There's a special place in my heart for Samuel Adams. They introduced me to what beer could be back in the day, they continue to try out all kinds of recipes, and most of them are winners.

I'll be looking for this over the weekend. I've had the Whitewater and Latitude IPAs and enjoyed them both. Can't wait to sample the others.

  3. Brian Stann is out of the Hector Lombard fight :(

I'm wondering who is going to step in now...maybe Alan Belcher? Or **** give him Palhares.

Jun 6, 2012 - The injury bug has hit the UFC once again.

UFC on FOX 4 headliner Brian Stann has been pulled out of his Aug. 4 fight against Hector Lombard due to an injured shoulder, MMAFighting.com has confirmed with sources close to the fight. According to those same sources, Stann will not require surgery for the injured shoulder, but will be on the sidelines for approximately 6-to-8 weeks.

  4. I think BJ will do well for the first 2-3 minutes, then get dominated the rest of the way after he gasses.

I see this happening too. Conditioning always has been and always will be BJ's weakness and Rory Macdonald is not a fighter that you want to gas against.

  5. A lot of fans paid 10 bucks to watch that match, I was amped up just reading the play by play of the event. What could Nick possibly say that could justify this? Estima not making weight on time? Some rule he didn't like? He'll have to take a huge rip off the bong before explaining this one.

Unless something ****ed up happened to him (got really sick, got into a car accident, etc.) then there's not much to justify being a no show.

  6. Frank Mir will be doing color commentating for Strikeforce:

UFC Heavyweight Number 1 Contender Frank Mir announced moments ago on MMAJunkie radio that he is set to commentate for Strikeforce in the future.

He was unsure of exact dates, but did confirm that he would be the colour commentator.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir is no stranger to commentary, having worked as a colour commentator for WEC in the past on several occasions.

Many fans had called to have Mir work the FX and FUEL cards, a job that went to Kenny Florian.

You can check out the interview at MMAJunkie Radio

Glad to hear, I always liked him in the WEC.
