Kind of feels like that's really more of a campaign to keep everyone else's job.  A lot of people depend on him staying in charge here.  I can see a world where he steps back into a senior FO role and gives Bieniemy all of the day to day HC duties, and Harris hires some more FO people, with only a few changes to the assistant coaching staff coming.

I don't hate that outcome at all, and it's what I'd encourage if I were the owner.  I'd let Bieniemy and Rivera finish their contracts here, give Howell another season with them, and then reassess everyone at the end of 2024.

Oh hell no..Ron and Co should all be gone at end of year..you think they have done a good job of acquiring talent through the draft and free agency? Ron is a terrible talent evaluater

You think Josh Harris knows what's best for the long term health of the franchise?  A neophyte who knows absolutely nothing about football or team building.  Dude couldn't even appear sober or string a coherent sentence together as Troy Aikman and Joe Buck tried to baby step him through a softball interview.  He doesn't know the first ****ing thing about running an NFL team, and here he is forcing trades of two of our best players at his first ****ing trade deadline.

You can rationalize this any way you want, and tell yourself that it won't happen again.  Harris has crossed a line that should be unacceptable to any fan who watched the Snyder era unfold.

You overrate Sweats and Youngs talent..neither player has ever gotten double digit sacks or taken over a game and you want to pay them 25 mil a year? Because that is what they would cost to keep..they are not even close to the elite edge players.

He doesn't do anything. He doesn't call offensive or defensive plays. Firing him just puts more weight on one of our coordinators.

EB can't even do a decent job at OC, so you definitely don't want to promote him and all of our defensive position coaches are too inexperienced to take over the defense if JDR becomes the HC.

Does it really matter at this point?

It doesn't bother me if Magic wants to sent out some warnings.  It doesn't feel dysfunctional to me.

Not sure everyone knows that Ron and company are gone.  Many assumed it.  But not everyone here thought that was a done deal.  Tonight it feels like everyone feels that way.

So when a new regime is hired is he gonna run to Twitter to post after every loss?

Could be.  I didn't love Jay as a leader of men.  But he came off like a good guy who was given a bad hand.  Some act like he was Jim Zorn part 2.  I didn't feel that way.  The irony is we only had one coach during Dan's era who had two winning seasons back to back, that was Jay.  Granted just barely but still he's the only one to pull that off.  Rivera likely leaves here with not a single winning season.

We can do better than Jay, and we can do better than Ron.  But yeah i don't have any aminus towards Jay.  Likeable guy and smarter about football than some here give him credit for IMO.

Jay knew how to run a offense..what did him in was the DC's he was saddled with.

As a former Yankees fan, history will bias my response to your feelings on this matter.

I understand why you would say this, still, results based business.

It's not like Leonsis hides his feelings about tough losses, either, though he has no rings to show for being as open as he is to the 6-7 people in the Wizards fan base.

The problem with Magic making these comments is he is not majority owner and it can be kind of off putting to future gm's or coaches.

what is he supposed to say? This isn’t a good team. They know it. Most of us know it but some love to convince themselves every offseason we are just a couple pieces or a better coach away

How about making some impact plays would be a good start..Being 3 tech he has a lot of one on one's and he isn't beating his man all that much especially against a backup Giants OL
